London-based photographer Alan Schaller is mostly known for his surreal, high contrast black and white photography that portrays “the realities and diversities of human life.” However, people are not the only subject that this street photographer aims to reveal through his works. This ongoing project celebrates a unique relationship we have with our feline friends.
These images that Schaller captures during his travels around the world show different personalities each dog has, from tiny puppies to huge hounds. The process involves getting familiar with the dog first, creating some kind of a bond and gaining their trust. "I find dogs are in general more consistently friendly, unpredictable, and amusing than humans," says Schaller. "Almost every dog I have photographed, unless the scenario has been tragic, has made me laugh at some point when meeting it."
Photographer hopes that his images will encourage people to help various charities that allow you to adopt a dog or support them through donations. Scroll down to explore Alan Schaller's works for yourself.

I recently went to India and there are so many strays there! The good thing is that they seem to be rather healthy, for strays

Such wild and beautiful dogs, i found two Great Pyrenees dogs out in the woods eating a deer. My dog could pass as both a polar bear and a wolf. Dogs were meant for the wild (most of them lol).

could that really be a red and white Irish Setter? I just learned they exist earlier today.
It's not an Irish setter. But how didn't you know that white and red Irish setters exist? They are older than the two breeds, plus the red setters originated from the red and white setters.

I don't think it is homeless. I do agree that it looks thin. But to me it seems like a case of "i am a baby and have grown too much lately". This is a great dane and when they grow a lot in a short period of time, they do appear quite thin, as they can't put weight on, when they're to busy putting energy into growth.

Not accessory. Dogs can ride on the NYC subway if they're in a carrier. New canvas bag qualifies. This dog is going to the beach (note mat).

There's never been a breed with such a strong presence in such a small size other than the jack russel.
