It's more than just a gun problem. Guns are common in some of the countries on the list that don't have a school shooting problem. So, why is violence an answer for so many people? I suspect a big part of the problem is how individual focusedl vs how group focused the society is. Over all the U.S. has gotten very individual entitled focused. Very me (or my small group) deserves (insert item here) nevermind anyone else, they don't deserve anything. How to fix it? No idea.

That and the fact that there are 380 million people in the US.... It becomes really easy to get into a negative frame of mind when there are so many people competing for limited resources. Guns are definitely a problem, but so is their entire system. It's all rigged against everyone who lives there, unless they are in one of the groups of ultra-rich. Spirituality might have something to do with it, but not because it should be in schools; I really disagree with forcing that on kids who don't yet understand the world. They need time to grow into themselves and then be given the opportunity to decide for themselves what kind of spirituality they want to follow, what makes the most sense to them individually. The US, and people there, just has a really backwards way of viewing a lot of important things while also hyperinflating what should be non-issues

In my opinion, not schools, but possibly homes. Please don't downvote me, this is just my opinion.

Pretty obvious indeed, there are many countries with armed citizens not on the list, so it's clear that gun ownership has nothing to do with it. However if you overlap the data of the following three charts you may find more correlation: list of countries with the right to bear arms, list of countries by debt per Capita, list of countries with school shootings. Mental health is real, not a joke. If people are losing it, they'll attack people with out without a gun.

Criminals wouldn't be effected by a law prohibiting guns. The only ones who would follow the law would be the non criminals. So who would stop them if there isn't time to wait for police, of course?

So say someone shoots up with a gun that was purchased illegally from across the border. Person comes over and shoots up a school. Nobody has guns because y'all wanted them gone so they are gone. Police don't have guns because y'all wanted them gone. Person goes in a shoots every single student because there's no way to sadly stop him because NO BODY HAS GUNS. What then? I'm asking

How long ago did people have to fend for themselves with guns in the US? Seriously? And the wars in Europe somehow made Europeans more conscious with guns whereas American treat guns as toys because war is what happens to other people? And that's why shooting people seems to be a viable solution to problems and nobody bats an eye?

That and they REALLY didn't want the British coming back to try to force them to submit to the crown again, so it makes sense that there is such a deeply held belief that they need guns.

I think they know perfectly well what a problem it is. I think their profits just makes them not give one single fυck.
