They look human, I don't see any models here. You know what a social justice warrior is? Because you surely look like one. You need a tag to understand what you see? Also asuming that he is supporting their addiction and exploiting them, then writing it down here out of fake concern is just.. meh.

He offered an explanation for the photos at the beginning. How much more info do you need? Here's a guy doing drugs on the sidewalk. Here's two people kissing eachother in a drug den. Here's a sad person. Here's several people doing drugs in a room. These are people on drugs; addiction is an awful, awful thing. An artist doesn't need to have a 'point' that pleases you to do their work. He hung out and stayed with these people - I don't pay my friends or the people that I meet at the bar when I take photos of them. And implying that he supplied them money for drugs is absolutely disgusting. You have NO reason to assume that.

Don't be ridiculous. Addicts deserve the same amount of respect as everyone else. But to kind of answer your first question w/o knowing the specifics of this case, ethnographers & others who embed themselves in subcultures to learn about/photograph them typically don't pay anyone anything because that seriously changes the dynamics of the relationship, which goes against the whole point of doing it.

So you're basically saying that you would prefer if the photographes took advantage of vulnarable people? Supplying money for drugs is one way of looking at it. Taking advantage is another. Addicts will get their drugs any which way. No reason to use people for your gain without compensating them for it. You have got this all sorts of wrong!
