I present a series of photos with snails, made using the bokeh method.
I live in Poland. I have been dealing with artistic photography for 8 years. I especially like photographing snail motifs.
Photography is my passion, a kind of meditation, giving me relaxation and a reset from the hardships of everyday life.
Bokeh is a transliteration of the Japanese word bo-ke, which means blur. We pronounce the word "boke." In photography, it is a way of rendering out-of-focus objects beyond the depth of field. Photographers sometimes deliberately use this shallow focus technique to create photos with visible areas out of focus.

Truly sublime photos. You bring out the smallest and most humble aspects of life into our consciousness.
>this is cool! Reminds me of the Lord of the Rings, for some reasons.
"nope, not safe to jump! Head back the way we came as fas as you can"
The snail shell almost looks like gold in the light, it's so beautiful.
I just registered with Bored Panda so that I could say how magical these photos are. Love the little things!

I love snails. I always save them from the sidewalk or the sun. Sometimes I even order a salad to my job so they can refuel and rehydrate before I let them go in a safer spot. I have videos of them eating carrot strips!
Amazing capture-- I just noticed the "baby" snail riding on the shell of the other snail.
He's in Jungle Book: "I've reached the top and I've got to stop, an' that's what's botherin' me!"
Stunning-- it makes me think of a scene from a fairy-tale.
These photos are just amazing, when I go to Poland in summer I love the colours of the light in the evening, the orange is just beautiful and I always try and get good photos, there's just so much inspiration in the Polish countryside
My mum's from Poland but we live in the UK so we go and visit my grandma nearly every year now 🙂
Load More Replies...I didn't realise just how tiny and delicate they are. The shell looks like the size of my thumb-nail.
"One side makes you grow taller, the other side makes you grow smaller..."
Thank you do much. Happy New Year 2021!
Load More Replies...Can you imagine a mural of this in a child's room? Or even a poster?
I love the soft-focus of the spider-web in the background.
It's not hard. In fact all you need is a range finder or dslr with exchangeable lenses and buy some macro or long lenses.
Load More Replies...Beautiful and I enjoyed the pictures. I'll never look at snails the same way although my garden snails aren't near as glamorous.
So good. But to be honest, when I read the headline, I thought I would be seeing snails that use the bokeh method 😂
Thanks to everyone for your comments. It's not easy to take such shots. What you can see is the process of my experience working with these small animals is the ability to control depth of field, control light and skillfully capture and catch the moment. The equipment itself is nothing, because I do not approach what I do only technically. Technique alone will not give your photos a soul. New Year greetings and thank you for these motivating and positive energy words !!!! God with you!
