A girl is alone at home one night, for the first time. She has a dog to keep her company. The girl listens on the news about a serial killer on the loose. She goes to sleep after locking all the doors and windows but for one, which doesn’t close. Suddenly she is awakened by a dripping sound. Scared thoroughly, she tries to go back to sleep and puts her hand down the bed for a reassuring lick from her dog. As the dripping sound continues, she goes to check on the taps in the kitchen, bathroom and everywhere else but finds nothing. She returns to her bedroom and puts the hand down again for the dog to lick. The dripping sound continues and the girl is too frightened to fall asleep. But as her hand gets licked from under the bed, she slowly falls asleep. In the morning, when she opens the closet, she finds her dog killed and hanged upside down. The dripping sound was from the dog’s blood. On the closet doors, she sees a message written in the dog’s blood– “Humans can lick too"
Always put the feeling of falling with why it's called, "falling asleep". Anyone else? I mean, that's a odd verb to put with it.
When you mentioned it I started thinking about it. So I tried google and found out that it is same in few other languages through Europe. Strange is that there is no good reason listed so I guess that there was some tale/myth/legend from which it originated but that story was forgotten.

Nah I get these all the time except for me its always a reoccurring nightmare that I'm walking on the 3 floor of my childhood house except all the banisters are gone and I lean over the edge to look down into our large foyer and then I'm pushed from behind by a man with no face and all of a sudden I'm falling and I look up to see the man with no face except he has a big wide mouth that stretches his whole face who is now smiling down at me and its absolutely terrifying and just as I hit impact I jerk awake. I have a couple of creepy two sentence stories: I saw a face smiling through the window. My room doesn't have windows. l heard a dripping sound coming from the bathroom. The tap was turned off. My daughter told me she had a nightmare about a man with no face. I was about to tell her everything was okay, but I didn't have a mouth to do so. My mother told me she loved seeing my kids. I don't have any kids. I heard a knock on the front door. But then I saw the woman knocking on the wall beside me.
The face stared at me through my bedroom window. I froze: the matted hair and sallow skin didn’t belong to my wife or either of my daughters. It would have been terrifying enough. But one fact made it even worse. I was standing outside.
I placed the doll in front of the bathroom to scare my girlfriend. We had a good laugh about it afterwards, at least until we realized the doll was laughing too.
I was reading my life story on a blog, I reloaded the page and it said that the page was gone. That was the last thing I ever saw

I almost had a heart attack when I read the words, but it didn't matter a knife was already coming from under my bed cutting my flesh below my chin. It said "I know your awake." Usually that is the end of a horror stories but more is to come- She silently gasped in denial still pretending to be asleep so the man wouldn't notice and hopefully go away. But it actually made thing worst, when the man seemed to believe her, he crawled out from under the bed and, then pulled her head up so he could be 100% sure she was awake. she realized that if she kept pretending her dead husband would notice. He came for revenge.

All of the paint bottles were relabled to the different types and when they were canned. Their scent and the beautiful crimson all of them left behind on the canvas were what compelled me to keep painting, no matter how much I miss the neighbors.
The paint bottles were all red, though many were labled other colors. The scent of the blood in the capsules compelled me to keep painting.
it is normal to hear scratching and whining when you have a childhood pet.but when you are all grown up and have no pets and no roommates it is much scarier from the inside of the apartment.

I don't know what makes me cringe more: the stories, or the people commenting each one of them thinnking that their comments are funny.
I was a bit irritated by the comments offering rational explanations - the whole objective of the stories is to fire up the imagination, why would you try and ruin that?!
Load More Replies... maybe you should spend less time with movies, tv and computer games. There is a slight chance your imagination will come back (or start to develop). Only a slight chance though, not everyone is blessed with it...
