With us, humans, consuming so much of farm animal production, such as meat, dairy, eggs and so on, nobody really wants to think about the conditions these animals live in. Animals kept in these farms, are often just a hair away from animal cruelty cases, with their living conditions being the bare minimum requirements to keep them alive. It's the same for some companion animals, where they are purchased purely for human entertainment, or wild animals shot for sport.
Now, imagine a parallel universe where domestic animals were the dominant species, and they treated us like the human race treats them. Pretty scary thought right? Well, that's the theme of this shocking series of illustrations that are designed to get you the issue of animal abuse on the spotlight.
Compiled by Bored Panda, the list features many animal rights scenarios we can probably relate to. The only difference is, the humans and animals have been reversed. Some of the illustrations are pretty gruesome, so you have been warned, but hopefully, they'll help you to look at the subject from an entirely different perspective.

It's quite a soft illustration when you know that in fact foxes and other fur animals are skinned alive because only their skin/fur is interesting and it takes less time to do it while they are conscious than killing them first (not that it would be more acceptable if they were killed first).
One of the worst thing ever elaborated. And on the other hand the same people doing that regularly to animals will get all offended when they read an article about someone who boiled a kid.
I have birds that are out all day, only use the cage at night or when we go out.

Wild animals like these are protected, but still there are companies who offer safari hunts. You pay a huge amount of money, depending on the animal you want to kill, and you can legally shoot it, safely from your car. Why are humans so cruel??? Why do those sick bastards enjoy killing a defenseless animal just for a gruesome picture? And furthermore, why is everything legal if you have the money for it?!

No, it wouldn't. Why continue the chain of cruelty? It's still bad one way or the other. If you give yourself the power to wish for something, wish for something ultimately good for all beings.
Here's what you guys don't get: it has been illegal to hunt certain animals like the lion for a while now, and it's NOT because it's out of kindness for nature but because they are endangered. Poachers just don't seem to get the memo; the instant you hunt down an endangered species, you're a poacher on the spot.

Ah, finaly a realistic one on how fur is really taken from animals. It just misses the sound to make it like those videos you can find on youtube, once you heard it you can't forget it unless you're one of those humans from the degenerate branch of evolution of course.
Circus involving animals is a barbarian show. How can someone take his/her loved ones to see this kind of show and feels happy and proud of it?
Dairy Industry - the truth. Humans force cow to be pregnant and then take away the child from her! (Veal Farms!) so humans can drink cows milk which supposed to be for her child. Then after mothers milk is finished they will repeat it all over again..and after a few years of this exploitation and abuse they will slaughter Her. I rather feel sorry for the underpaid waiter having to deal with sometimes ingrateful complaints, than for the fly that accidentally flew into the hot soup. There used to be human zoo's, up until recent history. Ironically, Adolph Hitler was the first to abolish them in Europe.
It lacks blood and infected wounds and feces everywhere with one or two cadavers rotting in it to be realistic.

trees aren't animals.... Plus, we kill them right away. We dont just sit and watch the tree die and laugh maniacally. (not saying the tree is...) also (most trees) dont have blood. AND technically, they dont have a spouse or child either. (unless you count the saplings as tree children.) Sorry if you really liked this one. I am just stating the facts of my opinions.

Please think about how these images make sense and consider reducing YOUR impact. Maybe cut out dairy or reduce your meat consumption. You can make a difference.
These images show the reality of how cruel we are to "lesser animals." Most of us choose to ignore the suffering that goes along with exploiting animals for meat, fur, milk, etc. Humans SHOULD be required to hold these images in their heads if they're going to exploit other sentient beings for their own selfish uses.
Great pics but bad title. Humans are animals too. This kind of separation thinking is part of the problem. Last I checked, we were in Kingdom Animalia

Someone should draw the alternate universe version of humans putting chickens with knives on their feet in a ring to "enjoy" c**k fighting.

Just look at those parallel universes. Those pictures make me want to reach for the Brain Bleach (http://www.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BrainBleach)! I have also seen "Parallel Universe" pictures where people are switched with animals and/or plants.
Overall a good post. But my main beef (pun intended) is with #27, the one with the bear sitting at the bar with a couple of old frontier woodsmen wearing coonskin and skunk tail hats, while he's wearing a severed human butt in his head. The cartoon itself is funny as hell, but for a damn good reason. It's an old "The Far Side" comic from the mid-late 80's. Why is Gary Larson not given proper credit?! I doubt that he's suffering financially, but intellectual property rights need to be respected. '''Twas his shining mind that dug up this nugget 'o gold.....
I mean yeah a few of these are sad, but the food product ones don't get to me. They died for our survival. Thats why the food chain exists. We're on the top, and everything else is on the bottom.

I don't think death is cruel but I do think pain is cruel and no sentient being should ever be hurt on purpose. I don't really get veganism for that he purpose of saving animals from death because a good portion of animals themselves eat animals so why shouldn't we? I mean it's not pleasant or nice but apparently this is the way it is. I wish we could all be herbivores but we're not. I know we can survive without eating animal products but they would still be eaten just not by us. I don't like the fact that animals are basically tortured for a long time before they are killed. So I only eat from a few brands of meat that come from local farms that have the highest welfare and that I have researched extensively. I eat only eggs from my neighbour's chickens who live are very happy lifestyle. The eggs haven't been fertilized by a rooster so they coulsnt have become babies. The only thing I don't do is drink milk because there is no avoiding the cruelty in the milk industry unfortunately.
Kinda funny but kinda morbid at the same time. I bet this will make a bunch of people want to become vegan.
I actually loved the pictures, I hope more people see them, maybe it would help some people to change

Where's the one where humans are trapped and/or poisoned in produce and grain farms, instead of squirrels, chipmunks, mice and rats ? The one where humans are being displaced and slowly poisoned for oil that is eventually made into plastic wrap for products, including tofu burgers ?

To my mind a lot of these are obsolete. I can understand the invasive testing, hunting endangered species, battery farming, etc, but a lot of these depict situations in which the animals are killed humanely, or at least quickly, and simply is the gory aftermath of dealing with the body, have laws against them, or just flawed understanding of physics (i.e. the horse and cart is no different to those rickshaw cart taxis).
Those vegans will do anything to exploit animals for their agenda to end cruelty and suffering! images-572...e4797f.jpg
