Quit buying water in plastic bottles. I use 3 gallon ones that are refilled and a bottle I bring from home.

Photoshop or not, millions of plastic bottles are killing our oceans

Photoshop is wonderful, isn't it? It's obvious that the plastic bottle from the original picture was simply photoshopped into the second picture.

Clearly photoshopped. If you look at the detail on the bottel, like reflection of the sun going down the side and the part of the weeds that you see through it in the first photo, you'll see it in the second photo as well. Seriously, who takes a photo of a random ordinary bottle on the beach and then finds the same bottle somewhere in the ocean a decade later, realises it's the same bottle and takes another photo? To make a point with a fake photo is to make no valid point at all...

Pretty ridiculous. It’s a very valid point. It’s not going to degrade at all so what you see in the first photo is what it’s going to be in much more than 10 years. You’re making a mountain out of a molehill and completely ignoring the message. 🙄

True, about plastic. But, another photoshopped photo. Just LOOK at it.

Plastic bottles don't actually pose much of a problem. They turn into habitats. It's the tiny plastic pieces in the ocean that get eaten by wildlife that are the big issue.

This is the last one I looked at. I can't look at anymore. As a species the humans are failing. We have all of the knowledge and power to do something but the people in charge make it impossible. They look at conservation as an expense and not profitable.

This concerns the Aral Lake in Uzebekstian and is not the result of Climate change but Stalin's disastrous ambitions.

This doesn't appear to be the same location. Look at the shape of the hills in the background of the top picture -- now compare that profile to the bottom picture. Different topography.
