Life's everyday awkward moments and small dramas often feel deeply personal—but chances are, others have been through them too. That’s exactly what Mary Nicola, a Romanian cartoonist, captures so well in her comic series. Drawing from her own experiences and observations, she turns life’s relatable moments into funny, heartfelt illustrations many of us can connect with.

Her comics shine a light on the ups and downs of teenage life—bickering with parents, navigating crushes, building friendships, and sibling squabbles. Through humor and reflection, Mary also reminds us how things that once felt overwhelming can seem pretty minor with time.

If you missed our previous post featuring Mary’s earlier comics, be sure to check it out as well. For now, scroll down to enjoy a fresh selection of her newest strips that we’ve put together for you today.

Bored Panda got in touch with the cartoonist once again to ask her a few more questions about her series. We were curious to learn how Mary comes up with ideas for her new strips, and here’s what she shared with us: “I get inspired by the experiences in my life! Everything I’ve drawn so far is based on my own experiences, and I think it’s amazing to find out that there are a lot of people who can relate as well.”

I hope no one is the first kind of pet owner, because dogs aren't - and shouldn't be - vegan. XD They're carnivores with omnivore leanings. Grain-free is fine, vegan is not. (As an aside, I'm the "my pets get better-quality food than the food I eat" type of owner, lol.)

When asked about one particular comic that stands out as her personal favorite, Mary, the cartoonist, responded: “Yes! Definitely the bullying one — with the girls that bullied me for being tall. I came back with a killer response, but then I ended up crying my eyes out on the bus. (Moral of the story: never show weakness to your bullies!)”

Get a video copy of the scene from the original 'V' miniseries where Diana (disguised alien) picks up a live guinea pig and just slides it down her throat, whole. The GP, meanwhile, was squealing up a storm. When we were watching it, my housemate's GP ('Vermintrax') was in the room with us, squealing up a storm despite having just been fed, and he Would. Not. Shut. Up! So, he sees Diana have her little snack. Shut right up and we didn't hear another peep out of him all night.
