"I missed my pug Mochi so much while I was at work that I started drawing some funny comics about him on the subway on my way to and back from work." That's how these cute comics were born.
Gemma Gené is a multi-skilled artist from Barcelona, Spain, currently based in New York. Gemma draws, paints, and creates sculptures, but she's best known for her adorable comic strips that every dog owner relates to. The artist shows the special bond between an adorable dog and the owner through cute cartoon drawings.

Pug's faces are so f****d up from breeding, but I wouldn't be like "Tee hee, your dog is ugly!". Basically, I just promote getting dogs that aren't like that, but for some reason these pugs are bigger than ever! I don't understand the draw. If you're really set on that style, get a dog bred to be like a healthier old style pug, like a retromop. They have slightly elongated snouts and therefore less breathing problems. It's not a matter of a shallow "it's too ugly to live!" sentiment, it's a matter of "it's man-bred looks has made it's life more difficult".

Couldn't agree with you more. I think it's a really bad idea to make bulldogs and pugs' snouts and dachshunds' legs so short. True, they are cute(and for some people-ugly)but it causes them too many health problems. It's not worth it and if I could, I would have suggested these dogs' breeders to work harder on keeping slightly longer limbs and snouts in order to improve the dogs' lifestyle.

Well... If the nose is extremely pressed into the head that is ugly. And I hate to see the poor things breathing through there mouth or struggling with breathing through their noses. But there are retro pugs now which have longer snouts and are able to breathe freely :)

While walking my two pits an old lady actually pulled over next me, rolled her window down, and started screaming at me that I was endangering her and the whole neighborhood with these killer dogs and no one was safe anymore. She literally said, "I guess I can't go for a walk knowing those dogs are out here." I was shocked. Normally I avoid confrontation or try to talk things through calmly with an open mind. In this case, when I finally caught my senses, I said, "Oh please you will you're fine. Keep driving you old bat!"

My compassion and empathy goes to you..........I'm not here...........Awwww......I suffer from chronic pain...24/7....so can identify with your feelings............maybe getting another pet just for you would help this situation...................my love and compassion I send to you......

I had a Westie that would take a piece of food out of her bowl, drop it on the floor, and push it with her nose to my parents' dog who was eating his own food nearby.

That kind of punishment really doesn't make any sense for the dog. They have no idea it's a punishment, or what are they being punished for.

This kind of thing doesn't bother me if you have the right soap and hot enough water to know with satisfaction that it's clean, but my mother would trash a plate if I EVER let a dog eat off one of her plates.

My dog Ralphie would hide under blankets and sheets, so we'd always have to lift them up before sitting down. Although, sometimes we forgot to check before sitting.
