Sometimes ears get infected and need to be cropped. Granted,, we don't know the story and could be for vanity....but also my pit had her tail stepped on as a puppy and it broke. She wags her tail so hard against stuff it bleeds and is called Happy Tail syndrome....is it continues it will need to be cropped off. And then I hope people don't think and say rude things about me....when she needed it cropped to avoid infection.

You knoooooow, that dog could be a rescue pitbull. My friend runs a pitbull rescue organization and she adopted a pit that had her ears cut by the people who abused her and used her for a puppy farm. So you don't know this dog's past. Go straight to the source first before shaming the photographer.

i met one lady who only bred her Golden doodle once, when the female was 1 yr old then had her spayed 2 months after litter. Some dog owners are responsible!

What's wrong with you people? Why do you cut the puppies tails????What is the use of this barbaric tradition? Here in most Eurpean countries it is against the law to cut ears and tails of dogs. Where is this still happening?

Is it not then cruel to allow working dogs (farm dogs, gun dogs etc) to get caught up in undergrowth or barbed wire and then have their tails wretched out whilst trying to escape, often very painfully and with risk of paralysis or bleeding to death.... Or I suppose you would prefer this???? I agree most breeds do not require this, it is only done to working dogs AND often within days of birth.

I think people should stop allowing people to breed dogs when 100s of 1000s of shelter dogs are destroyed every year. My two dogs are rescue dogs. I did buy a pure-bred years ago, but have reformed.
