As a child, I remember playing an outdoor game called 'Mississippi'. We had to chant out: MI-SSI-SSI-PPI! To this day, I know how to spell it.
Maybe it's the diff between showing a donation and actually giving it... It only showed.
It takes about one second to pronounce it, but five times longer to read. You know, to count the letters. Making sure all the s and p are there.
I cry when I hear that my grandchildren cannot spell ANYTHING correctly.

The mod told us that the subreddit was created by u/potato88, who’s now a suspended user, back in 2013. Some time ago, though, the subreddit had no moderators, so the admins gave it to the current mod team, u/N8theGr8 said.
