The photo contest #Water2019 gathered more than 16.665 submissions of photographers from all corners of the planet in the AGORA images free-to-use app. Everyone submitted beautiful pieces, but one stood out from the crowd.
AGORA user @Leemumford8 certainly made a splash in #Water2019, by becoming the latest AGORA Hero with his magnificent shot that was voted the Best of the World.
Originally from the UK, Lee Mumford has been living and working in Hong Kong for the past couple of years. His journey into photography started at a young age, where he learned how to develop his own rolls of film and print his own images in the darkroom. His passion grew after he fulfilled his dream to become an airline pilot, enabling him to travel the world with his camera.
His winning image 'Tides' was taken in Mona Vale, Sydney, one of the many rock pools on the eastern coast of Australia, with a Mavic Pro II Drone.

Inception, Cuno De Bruin, Netherlands
One of things that makes me realize how much more I'd prefer a natural shot than looking at things arranged for a shot..
This is actually not arranged at all. The boats are parked there for during night time and floating around in the water. I waited for the perfect sunrise for the reflections of the mountains and took the shot with the drone.

Any photo under the ice reminds me of that scene in "Omen 2" and creeps me out.
Beautiful. I love how you used the long exposure feature for the water, it always looks the best.
Boat Cruising Past Old Harry Rocks, Dorset, Joe Shelly, UK
Lovely! Does the white show how far the water level has declined? That would be sad.
It may be a type of rock common in that area, like the White Cliffs of Dover.

I don't know much about photography so forgive me, but is this water photo shopped? Why?
the water is not photoshopped, the photo was taken with long exposure. Is the image of water running for a while in one photo

Basically, photograph a water splash, or using a drone. More than half of the entries are just that. I'm sorry, but out of 16,000 submissions I guarantee there were more diverse things than this. Add the animal pics and there are only about 5 truly different shots in this whole thing. Disappointed.
