"We're a subreddit for things that, surprisingly and satisfyingly, fit perfectly into each other," the community writes.
We're talking window blinds that cast lines at the same degree as the handrail, bath mats that line up with the tiles, and musicians who merge perfectly with their instruments. You know, the good stuff.
Maybe it's the excitement of the unexpected that got 893k people to join this community. Or the soothing of their OCD. But whatever it is, it's working. And it's so damn fulfilling.

However, that may be precisely the appeal, Jessica Gall Myrick, a media psychologist at The Pennsylvania State University, said.
"Even if you don't consciously realize you're stressed, your body is aware that you're stressed or physiologically aroused," Myrick told Live Science, using the scientific term for being in a state of high alertness. "That could drive you toward this type of soothing, interesting content."

There are plenty of alternative versions of this sort of relaxing, repetitive activity. Tibetan Buddhists, for example, spend hours painstakingly making colorful designs called mandalas out of sand, only to destroy them after they're done. It symbolizes the transitory nature of life.

Really? So it’s 0,92€/liter? In the US it’s about $2.00 per gallon usually, so that’s about 1,65€. Divide that by 3.79 to get the price to a liter, about 0,44€. To me, $4.00 a gallon is very, very expensive gas.

Ziplock makes conainers other than bags?! If this is common, I'm sorry. I had to take most of my mom's tupperware container colection (she used to sell tupperware) when I moved out, so I never had a need to buy containers. To give you a visualzation, 10 containers in each side, then a lot of mini lunchboxes, and more things that aren't containers, but still tupperware. Long story still long, she still has too many containers, and I had a garage sale (still have a lot of conainers though).

No need to count --- it's 7 sixpacks, see how they fit! You don't have to unpack them: lay first four width-wise two by two, then turn remaining three and fit three pack... More symmetrical is to put all in two-per-row, but split last pack in half (ouch!) =)... I find that between satisfying and disturbing --- splitting the pack is the most orderly way, but feels wrong.

Someone once bent my door and tried to steal my 50$ aftermarket stereo. My door never closed properly again and my CD player never released it last CD. It was very frustrating!

My ex-bf lived in a rough neighbourhood and didn't want to get a car radio because he was worried it would get stolen. So he had a bluetooth speaker that he would hang up in the car when driving and take with him when he got out of the car.

My sister had a package delivered and there is a frame situation so the post office can put it in when they open the whole unit, but when you open the individual units, the opening is smaller. She tried screw drivers, knives, at some point I am sure she tried TNT too. Had to just wait for the mail man to show up to get it out.

if you think that's a good fit, you're not very bright. You blocked a doorway. Even if it's a door you don't use, you never block doors b/c they are points of egress in case of fire.

It depends on how many doors you have, and how many you actually need. Older homes that have been reconfigured several times over their lives often have superfluous doors. Such as a kitchen with an exterior door connected to a pantry with its own exterior door, adjacent to a hallway with an exterior door.. at some point they don't all need to open.

Why are so many people purchasing large items without measuring? I enjoy the random fitting, but it is concerning that so many wouldn't measure.

I honestly believe most times the „without measuring“ is a lie because it generates more karma on Reddit. I mean, who would buy a sarcophagus and organize transport without knowing if it fits? Sorry, but nobody.
