You might think you're not a cat person but the second you lay your eyes on those furry little divas and get to witness their grace firsthand, you become one. Just like these 50 folks.
Just like Twitter user Ruby's (@roobeekeane) dad. At first, he was like 'No no no' but when he heard the 'meow meow meow' he quickly changed his mind. Now the man is showering them with attention and care, spoiling the critters whenever he gets a chance to.
After Ruby tweeted pics of the new friends, they quickly went viral. Now, over 72K likes later, people are sharing their own similar stories, telling how felines are finding ways into their loved ones' hearts.

"My dad's kind, caring and funny. He can always cheer me up or calm me down," Ruby told Bored Panda.
The family had a very old, sick cat who died in 2018. "It was so sad and traumatic and my dad said 'can we have a year off from having cats?' Little did he know my mum and I had already put down a deposit to adopt two kittens.

Our first family dog past away 4 years ago and we buried her in our grandparent's house. whenever we come to visit them, we also talk to Daisy.

my cat name is mo she was my 2 pet it was a sad replacement for my dog swiper that was 2 or 3 years old and my dad did not even like cats so when i moved i could not take her with me sadly 😢😢:-(
"You adopt a cat knowing their lifespan is shorter than yours and you're probably going to be very sad at some point. But the joy and friendship they bring is worth the heartbreak," Ruby explained. "After our old cat died, I think my dad forgot how fun it is to have cats. Also, Lucas and Dustin immediately loved him and sat on him for hours so he didn't have a choice but to bond with them."
Ruby's dad already knows that he's internet-famous and thinks it's hilarious. She also tried explaining it to their cats: "I showed Lucas the post and he batted my phone out of my hand and sniffed it a lot. I think the fame has gone to his head."

That's heart warming. My Dad also suffered with Alzheimer's. When things got really bad and he ended up in the hospital, my sister was worried about whether she'd be able to take care of him in the house because of him now being bedridden. While the EMTs were taking my Dad into his room, her dog Susie started barking from the next bedroom. My Dad, eyes closed, shouts "Hush!" And the dog piped down. My sister knew then everything was going to be fine.

My mom always says that she doesn't want any cats inside, but she always feeds any stray who gets her to regularly feed them, eventually inviting them in to stay. My sister and brother are both allergic. After a new stray moves in, Mom keeps them out of certain rooms, so that my siblings can visit without having to drug up on antihistamines.

My parents didn't want a cat when I grew up. But after a while she was sleeping in the frying pan (yes, weird) and dad would delay cooking dinner because he didn't want to wake her up.

My aunt swears she hates all animals but shes rescued 3 dogs, 2 are still alive and they are the happiest lil spoiled fur balls. Still to this day, after having dogs for 7 years, if you tell her "you know you love them" she will still reply "I'm not an animal person but I only take care of them"...but I know she does.

Here's my story. My brother found our cat on the driveway, it was like Jack Sparrow (we named him that because that clip on his ear made him look like a pirate) had found us. My parents at first didn't want him because they thought that he and our dog Cole would not get along, but about 3 years later, my cat loves our dog, rubs against him and even grooms him on occasion. My parents also love Jack, and spoil him (and the dog) every day.

My husband was reluctant to cats, thus he said if a cat, then a maine c**n. Now every morning when he leaves work he has to make the bed, or the lady cat yells at him, and when he does, she comes, lays down and he can rub, scratch and pet her all over. They have to have their special time, otherwise she yells at him. If asked what he's up to, he says "oh, nothing, just uhm.. preparing for work" :D Oh, and she doesn't allow me to pet her much, not to mention everything else she allows him to do :D

Every day without fail, after dinner dad would sleep in his chair in the living room--and every time the poodle slept across his lap. But dad 'didn't like the dog.' (Uh-huh, and I have this land in the Florida swamps if you believe that one.)

A few decades ago I had two cats. When Feline sadly died I got a kitten - Eddy - to keep Marie company. Marie absolutely hated Eddy so I decided my best friend should take care of Eddy, even though I knew he didn't care much for my cats. I really didn't give him a choice! They ended up superbest buddies! Sadly Eddy passed away and my friend decided he had enough, it was all too sad. Until a collegue found a cat near our place of work and took it home. As soon as I heard she had found a cat - not a stray - I knew the cat was meant for my friend. I told my colleague I knew someone who'd take her in and lo and behold two weeks later Pixie had a new home and four years later she and my friend are superbest buddies.

My dad is allergic to cats, so is my Grandma. He refuses to let cats into the house, even just fostering, but she owns 2(It was 3 a few weeks ago.. :'( ). It's the funniest thing... When we visit my grandma, I'll try to get one of the cats to come sit with me (treats, clicking my tounge, calling their names...) and they all go sit on him.

I hate how "cat-haters" usually have never owned a cat or base their opinion on a few cats they've encountered, which they've usually treated like a dog. 1. Don't expect a cat to act like a dog. Cats have their own way of communicating. You have to own them to know how to read them. For example, a swat or even a bite doesn't necessarily mean the cat hates you, it could think you're playing. B) People also always depict cats as evil selfish creatures and so I hate it when others just go along with that stigma

My dad never wanted a cat. He used to say they're selfish and treacerous. Nowadays my cat is the first to be kissed when he gets back from work, mom usually complains about how she's left out lol

when I met my hubs I wasn't sure it would work b/c he said he was more a "dog man." Two months later, my cats loved him so much and we realized he's like a dang cat whisperer. He doesn't even really like dogs very much-he just didn't know any cats. lol

My Mom doesn't hate cats - she love them. However, she thinks I have way too many (5!). When I rescued my baby Charlie (literally dying on the sidewalk at 6 weeks old), I made sure she was in a public place when I told her so she couldn't go too crazy. When I visited her two days later, she had a new toy waiting for Charlie!

I reckon this happens because the person who says they don't want the cat or dog in question, is frightened of the emotional pain that comes with losing them. Their behaviour when said pet arrives in their lives usually bears this out; the "I don't want a cat/dog" person in your home, is usually the one that displays their love for that animal more intensely than anyone else. They know and probably fear the pain more intensely about the time when the relationship comes to an inevitable end.

When I was dating my husband 10 years ago, I tried to rescue a neighborhood stray. He told me I was nuts. The cat avoided all my food treats but when my husband squated, that cat jumped in his lap. 10 years later, she is still "his" cat despite what he says.

We recently adopted a (big) dog, and our very old cat was kinda scared of him, and passed away peacefully 2 weeks after Cu arrived. My grandma was like “you still have that dog he killed Whiskey” and generally didn’t approve of us keeping him. She came over last week when Cu was doing his obedience training and changed her mind! Cu’s such a sweetheart <3

My mom says no more cats after our last one passed in beginning of 2008. My mom says no more after 40 yrs, it’s enough and I don’t want the responsibility anymore!! As eight months has passed I’d wanted to get another cat and my mom says no. My dad and I’ve been secretly looking and my vet called and we ended up rescuing two kittens. When we moved back to the east coast, Salem and Libby moved in with me in my house. My dad gotten lonely, told my mom he wanted a cat. She says no, they ended up with two tuxedo cats boys. Max and Sammy and it’s been seven years and my mom keeps telling my father theses are your boys but Sammy sleeps with my mom!!!

When my cat (Garry, after Cmdr. M.T. Garry) turned up she was the ugliest, skinniest thing I'd ever seen - she'd have given Church (the resurrected version from Pet Cemetery) a run for its money in the World's Ugliest Cat competition. She was vicious too - I almost needed to put full metal armour on just to put her food out! She was only with me for a short while until the girl who rescued her got herself sorted with a new place. Until her partner determined that they weren't having a cat, they were having a dog. By the time we'd had her to the vet, made sure she all in good condition (remarkable give what she must have been through) the vet noted that she was "well bonded" to me. Fast forward six months and she's got her tiny claws wrapped around my heart. Clearly suffering from the remains of separation anxiety, she's even started "talking" to me now when I go missing! So there's me from a "dog" man who didn't have a dog (I don't have the time to dedicate to one) to a cat man!

Must add, if I were unable to heal after my loss and didn't get more pets, I would be living alone in this apartment, and bored to tears, and very lonely, so happy to have my pets !!!

Many of us being cat lovers, I actually love all animals, I have had dogs, now two cats, all pets were rescues,one thing that differs in people, is after the loss of a pet, I am heart broken to extremes, however, I need to find another pet to heal and ease my pain and loss, some people need more time to recover, there are some who are unable to recover, therefore, they will not have anymore pets, so sad, as I believe they miss out, no more cuddles, no more love and playtime, also some good laughter now and then, actually I live alone with my two babies, I enjoy laughing out loud, they play and get so silly !!!

My dad was the bad guy who'd put his foot down whenever someone in our family wanted to bring home a stray cat. He liked animals, he just didn't want a houseful of them. However, he was outnumbered, with a wife and 3 daughters who were all crazy about cats. So we had a parade of strays year after year, in addition to our "official" adopted cat. But the biggest surprise was when my sister adopted a cat for him later in his life. They were best buddies for years. He got a second cat to keep the first one company when he wasn't around. Then I later found out that he was feeding strays in his neighborhood, and he even caught a neighborhood cat, and brought her to the vet to be spayed after she had several litters. Last time I visited him, it was only the second time I'd been to that particular house, and as I drove down the street, I wasn't sure which one was his. Until I saw the house with about 5 cats sitting in the yard. He had truly become the Cat Man of his neighborhood.
