Oh, the sweetness of sheer unapologetic laziness… Is it just a lack of willpower? Maybe it’s a state of mind, a hedonism-inspired lifestyle, a rebellion of modern kind. All jokes aside, calling someone “lazy” is somewhat an insult, especially in societies where hard work and productivity are valued highly (we’re looking at you, America!).
Having said that, a 2019 Pew survey found that a majority of Americans think people are lazier now than they used to be. But we can all discuss what being dubbed lazy actually means.
For some it's a lack of physical activity, for others it may be lack of will to do even the most routine and boring tasks. And while it’s totally normal to have a brief episode of idleness, if it lasts too long, you’re suddenly playing dangerous games.
So today, we’re diving deep into real-life examples of people succumbing to their laziness, by choice or accident. The result is an uncanny collection of pics that may make you laugh, infuriate you or give you a moment to reflect on your own lazy side.

Multiple Reasons Why You Should Put Your Cart Back And Not Be Lazy
Super frustrating to see this. My dad is a paraplegic due to a car accident. We both nearly died, no exaggeration. This type of c**p happens all the time. I’ve seen two healthy 19 yr old dudes park in a handicap parking space at the bank. Most folks excuses are, “oh I’ll only be one second”. NO ONE is ever just one second. The laziness & sense of entitlement is brewing rampant across the globe. This is not something unique to one race or moral beliefs. It’s a complete lack of common courtesy.
Laziness can lash out at us at every corner, especially at times when we need to be at our most productive. Think of work deadlines, important meetings and calls, bills to be paid and things to be done. Sometimes it’s little things that we can’t force our bodies to push through– from household chores to dragging ourselves to the gym.
And while we all have brief moments of idleness (which may feel pretty indulgent!), at some point it becomes a genuine problem. So to find out more about what’s actually happening in our minds when we’re lazy, how to cope with it we reached out to two experts: Christine Mitterbauer, a licensed and ICF-approved career, and life coach and serial entrepreneur, as well as Dr. Audrey Tang, a chartered psychologist, media spokesperson and author of multiple books, including "Be A Great Manager Now", "The Leader's Guide to Mindfulness."
People Who Do This Are Just The Worst
If You Have A Gender Reveal Party And Leave Confetti Everywhere For People To Pick Up, F**k You
Did She Purchase Or Put Back Any Of The Books? Of Course Not
I hate people who do that! I am always the person to put their books back when I find them in the wrong place
Dr. Tang argues that laziness becomes a problem when you are either no longer contributing fairly to what you are receiving and requiring others to take the strain (with little thought to their wellbeing and efforts), or it is standing in the way of your own achievement of personal goals and desires.“In the latter case (and sometimes in the former) - this can speak to a lack of motivation, and, sometimes, the lack of desire to do anything can be a symptom of depression. In which case it can be helpful to ask yourself why this is happening,” she explained.

Don't Even Get Me Started On The People That Test Spray Paint Like This
This Is Embarrassing
So here are some important questions to ask yourself, according to Dr. Tang: “Think of a goal, have you got it?” and next, “Think of all the things you need to do to achieve it.”
“Small manageable chunks, with focus – you should be achieving that in no time – go you!”
“Seems straightforward, doesn’t it?” Dr. Tang asks. “And this is a goal you’ve had for some time, plus those steps are probably quite easy…”
Dr. Tang invites us to think about everything we did yesterday–”how many of those things contributed TO your goal or simply distracted you from it (Netflix binges, scrolling mindlessly through social media, any psychodramas you got caught up in)?”

Driving Over Graves Because They’re Too Lazy To Walk
I effing HATE this! I walk between gravesites when visiting my Dad. People who drive over, walk over and let their dogs pee or poop (yes really) on other people loved ones gravesites should be driven over too!
Walking over is sometimes necessary. At our local church, some of the gravestones actually form part of the path to the rest of the churchyard. Vehicles and dogs should be left outside/on the road.
Load More Replies...Seriously. I even pick up flower pots that may have topple over.... not because I'm a decent person but I'd too scared that I would p**s one of the residents off
Load More Replies...I always assumed there was just an understanding that gravesites were sacred. No stepping on them, no walking your dog over them.... Obviously, I'm naive.
I know they love in-ground markers to make mowing easier/cheaper, but honestly, I love big fat chunks of granite that stick up outta the ground, to avoid this BS.
Slate markers are among my favorites... rarely seen nowadays and it's always a treat to see beautiful craftsmanship on such a fragile medium. They're subject to delamination, and so many are damaged by well-meaning but untrained people attempting cleaning. Number 1 favorite: field stones painstakingly etched with initials and date. They are labors of love.
Load More Replies...Looks like they broke their car while doing it. Good serves em right.
Curious: what makes it appear to need repair? What I saw was frustration of finding a marker under snowfall.
Load More Replies...Always walk between the graves and if I can’t avoid stepping on one I always apologise
In my opinion, if you do this, you deserve to be to be run over. While your still alive too.
This is when the dead needs to rise up and give them a visit. No respect at all.
Doubt there is. It seems their drive path is hidden by snow so it *appears to be amid gravestones.
Load More Replies...Those stones are property of families that purchased 'em, and the city (or cemetery association) was paid to maintain them.
Load More Replies...GAAAAAAAH! As a headstone hunter-genealogist documenting and restoring old burial grounds, can verify this damage occurs almost everywhere I've worked. People allow cows to graze around old burials, kids get drunk and tip over stones bigger than their car, groundskeepers mow over inscribed rocks and chew up granite and slate with weed eaters. It makes me pig biting mad.
When I visit our family plots it looks like I’ve done the same thing. In reality, the cemetery has just chosen not to pave the access road for this area. If you look at the cemetery layout the roads exist and if you ask at the office they will point them out and tell you to use them, but you have to look closely to discern the tracks when you get to them. It’s their way of preserving the green space. So, while it may look like someone must have driven over graves to reach the graves they’re visiting there, they didn’t. I’ll admit that the optics have always bothered me. As a kid I thought my aunt was fooling when she explained the “roads” when we visited. When I inherited the plots, I discovered she wasn’t. So, I now use them, too, optics be damned.
Thank you, voice of reason. Have been in many hundreds of burial grounds and drivable paths are the norm.
Load More Replies...So disrespectful. Is definitely let the cemetery know after I get a license plate. They have to repair damage to any of the headstones and the lawn… like the holes and such. I swear…other peoples children. smdh.
Shame their identity was concealed! They deserve to have their ugly mugs out in front of everyone!
This really pisses me Off. Because I have to use a wheelchair I cannot visit my mothers or fathers grave. The footpath gets to about 30 yards away and the gravestone is over grass/mud/puddles. It's four years since my mum died, two for my father. I have only got to see her grave once as I need two people to take me there. I have never seen my fathers gravestone. I could if we did this mind. But I wouldn't as it's Despicable behaviour. These people make me feel sick 😡
I don’t even like to walk over graves! I live in an area where MOST of our cemeteries are above ground crypts due to our city being below sea level, but I hate if I have to leave the designated path to reach a grave I don’t want to step on someone’s resting place
How do they drive over them? Aren't there roads? Do that here, and you'd be finding yourself up against a judge!
I hope it's clearer in person that there are gravestones there because I sure don't see any.
Should take a picture of them and their car and license plate and report it to the cemetery and hopefully they will be reported and proper action can be taken.
W T F? I am gobsmacked by this, so utterly and completely disrespectful. Should have let us see their faces instead of hiding it, time to show them up!
There's a woman who comes to the park just outside my home that was formerly a graveyard and puts bread and birdseed on the old gravestones and markets for the birds. When I attempted to politely talk toher about being more respectful, she got her husband and he got violent. The council refused to do anything except talk to her about not feeding the birds bread, which she said she'd stop. She didn't, of course. She also claimed to "Love birds," but apparently has no clue of the harm she's doing. Don't get me started on how the pigeons and gulls (which are aggressive and scare other birds away from the park) defecate on the graves when they flock there for free food they don't even need (she does it multiple times, every day, year-round).
In their defence, this planet is one massive grave. We just still remember those ones.
True story: I went to pay my respects to my mother at her grave site...sometimes difficult to know where to walk - but I literally had my one leg sink into a grave near hers. Talk about scary - I later found out the cemetery sometimes moves someone out and resells the site?!
if i saw this id smack whoever it was.... even my mom... disgusting and disrespectful .
While I do find these people lazy and disrespectful, I will just add this, being from the funeral business... How do y'all think the cemetery workers get to the graves to dig them? They don't dig them by hand anymore, and the dirt has to go somewhere. While we avoid the headstones, graves can and do get drove on with dump trucks and backhoes consistently.
That's why in Russia we install fences around graves. Aroun every grave, google it, looks "charming".
This is the most disrespectful thing I've ever seen. Just wow. Karma will literally sh*t on their graves one day
I'm having a green burial. But, that tree is going to have a solar powered, military grade defense laser for a******s like this.
Now the ghosts of all those people who lay in those graves are going to haunt these people 😈
This is one of my pest peeves. Have some f*****g respect! Also, I hate it when parents take their children to visit relatives' graves and let the kids RUN all over the place. It is a person's final resting place, not your damn trampoline.
Playing not so bad... destructive behaviors like climbing, marking, moving, or destroying stones is definitely bad. It's destruction of private property.
Load More Replies...Legally this would be considered destruction of private property and trespassing. Graves are considered property of the person who owns the plot.
Unsure why you are getting downvoted for this, unless people think graves are public property... they're not. Burial plots are purchased, markers are purchased, and the obligation of upkeep falls on the cemetery association, city, or church owning the site. Vandals can, and should, be held accountable. Also: This particular case may be optical illusion of sorts with road just covered by snow.
Load More Replies...This is about as effed up as it gets. I hope someone tap dances to Nickelback on their graves.
According to Dr. Tang, our brains are amazing since they are capable of so much. “And yet we often apply their energy and drive ineffectively due to habit, laziness, or simply because we don’t know any other way.”
It’s important to realize that it is not the big choices that we make that shape our lives the most – “whether to buy that house, whether to take that job, whether to get into a relationship with that person… because they are clearly defined and they have an exit strategy,” she said and added that “it is the little choices you make every day that really make up who you are.”

Dr. Tang gave an example: “Do you have the apple instead of the donut? Do you take 5 minutes for yourself, or do you say 'yes' to every person who asks? Do you choose to speak kindly to you, or do you berate yourself for 'just not being good enough?'”
According to the award-winning book author and spokesperson, “if we can focus on making as many little healthy choices as possible, we’ll be living the life we want, rather than seeking motivation to move towards it.”

Wow....such a bunch of lazy useless disrespectful people in this world.....yup, I'm angry, that's it.
Same I should not have read this because now I’m so angry.
Load More Replies...Some of these make me feel great about some of the lazy things I do because theirs is lazy to the 10th power!
I feel like a lot of these could be clearly be explained and are just posted without context for rage bait. Also as someone with a disability who has done a few of the things in the list it honestly hurts that default assumption is lazy for things that could clearly be caused by disabled people trying to live in an abled world.
Well, that just reaffirmed my belief that humans are an ongoing mistake...
There was some sad examples of laziness, that I almost forgot how good it is, that humans are lazy. That gets us to invent washing machines, vacuum cleaners, lawn movers to use instead of tubs for washing by hand, brooms and scythes for the grass.
Okay but some of these comments were much worse, a lot of them could be understood in context I think
I can't understand the logic behind hanging poop bags on trees and fences and I see this everyday, so this is pretty common practice. Why? If you're really too lazy to take a bag with you, just leave the c**p on a ground and rain will wash it off. I'm not saying people should leave the poop, but putting it in the bag, and hanging it on a fence is extra work, and it's even more disgusting.
I didn't see your opinion anywhere, just this post. I, personally, don't downvote a differing opinion, just if someone is utterly being vile. BTW, I upvoted this post. Tried to negate some other àsshole!! :)
