What some call "political correctness" is nothing more than understanding that it's not OK to use slurs to or about a group of people based on their skin color, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, country of origin, or disability. Any decent person would realize that "political correctness" is just old-fashioned politeness.

It lets you know exactly who a person is. You would rather they hide their opinion and you have to guess if they're moral or not. You can politely call someone a derogatory comment. That's just etiquette. Not calling someone names as opposed to falling over yourself to not offend them is a wide range. Some people are offended by everything. Being kind is always good but get over yourself if you're offended by everything.
