Today we’d like for you to meet the artist Mahnaz Yazdani. Mahnaz’s deep and meaningful work often portrays society's problems in surrealistic illustrations that tend to show how everyday people (just like us) suffer from things that seemingly the rest of our modern society refuses to acknowledge more often than not.

One could say we probably have gotten used to the said problems just because we are always surrounded by them, so much that we don't even notice them anymore. However, things such as war, global pandemic, and problems revolving around our mental health aren’t going anywhere any time soon.

All in all, Yazdani’s work might give you a thought or two regarding the way we live currently.

Bored Panda also reached out to the artist to find out a little bit more about her and her work.

"I am a storyteller who tells most of her stories in her comics and animations. I started my art journey as an animator and cartoonist twenty years ago. My focus was on making animation for years. Since 2015, I have been professionally drawing editorial cartoons. I had so many stories in my mind waiting to be created, but animating all of them needed lots of years, so I chose comic style to tell my stories faster."

I really like this one. Sharing ideas and love being where they all intersect. Very cute.

"Maybe the main characteristic of mine has led me to create such art: a humoristic outlook and thinking about the feelings of other people, for example, how does a kid feel under bombardment. Those help me to create a humorous story and then tell it in the shape of a comic, cartoon, or animation."

So beautifully illustrated, yet so devistately accurate and confronting. Currently we are being told to take our empty plastic bags back to our house, because the seahorses are dying.

It's saying that only those from privilege (represented here by the kids flying in on dollars) have access to knowledge (the book fortress). The less privileged are locked out.

I think this is more about how viruses are forever changing and will always be around and have tons of variations. Covid won't be eradicated like polio cuz its a viral vs bacterial thing. And you can be fully vaccinated and still get covid so ppl get the Vax and think they are free and get it again and spread it to other all the while acting like they saved everyone. It will keep transforming. In the US the last pandemic with The Spanish flu, it didn't go away it transformed into the many strains of flu we have today. A virus will not be fully eliminated by a Vax like a bacterial disease will. Just science. We'll be getting covid vaxxed the rest of our lives for all of the variations until its just like getting the annual flu Vax that covers a certain amount of them and just hoping you don't get it but still might but it's a less extem case of it etc. I'm sure I'll get a ton of down votes cuz people don't like hearing this. Sorry the truth hurts.

If people keep acting like this, exactly how they want you to act.. control with fear is the oldest trick in the book and people keep on falling for it.

Illinois just drop their mask mandate and vaccine mandate. The terms are a bit contradicting. Out of 12.5 million in the population, 8 million are fully vaccinated 63.3% . We can obviously hope for better numbers but it's a good start. Though you still have to wear a mask and social distance in schools, daycares, hospitals, clinics, business facilities, state gov facilities such as the DMV, courthouses, public transportation, some restaurants and some stores. Some as in the owner gets to decide the requirements. We'll see how this goes. Yes, I'm pro vax. Don't down vote me too much.

I didn't get it first then realize just because you're vaccinated doesn't mean to be careless just like annoys me with people pull down their mask and to talk and be like no it's fine I'm vaccinated

I believe that some expected Covid to disappear amid vaccines, gloves and masking. Enter 2022 and yes Covid is still here and will be for a long while.

Colorado Springs has a *lot* of anti maskers and anti vaxxers. It's dangerous just to go to the store anymore. Morons are going to get us all killed.

I despise art that perpetuates fear. I've had covid twice. The 1st time was when I was 6 months pregnant. Had my baby at home w/midwives & he was perfectly healthy. I never got symptoms except for loss of taste/smell for about a year. 2nd time I had no symptoms at all! This is the case for 87% of the human population. If you don't believe me, please look up the data on your own. Yes, people with several comorbidities, known or unknown, can die from covid. I personally know 2 people who died from covid. One was 87 years old w/ heart problems. Other was vaxed but had several autoimmune diseases & diabetes. When I had Omicron, I had no symptoms at all. I have been around people with covid since then & I didn't get sick because I have natural antibodies. Everyone who has not gotten vaxed at this point has already been infected with covid, which makes them just as immune from passing it on as the vaxed. Also, science says viruses taper with immunity. This fear-mongering needs to end.

Again a picture post that is misleading. It's not COVID 20 up to 25, like if it was the years, but should have been the delayed other version of sickness that did appear after, the other variation! This is so false!

People need to expand their thinking. Covid is a manufactured virus meant to decrease the population. A smaller population is easier to control and manipulate. That didn't work so they manufactured a vaccine to kill. Thankfully it was mostly neutralized. The vaccine wasn't meant to stop the virus, why do you think people get covid after vaccination? Why are their severe side effects? Why are researchers now finding strange stuff about every facet of this covid mess? This is the Golden Age now. More and more people are realizing their power now. What goes around comes around. Think, feel and speak positive thoughts and you will receive positive back 10-fold. Do the same with negative and you will get negative back. Stop thinking and worrying and talking about covid and you give it no energy and it will go away. You are sovereign with the love and light and energies of God and the universe behind you. This is spirituality speaking. It is the way now. The Golde Age. You will see.

No, sorry. Simply *not* thinking about Covid won't make it go away. You may as well tell all the people who have lost loved ones to this illness to just pretend they're not really dead.

I wish our kids have the freedom to show their faces just because some people are afraid of the common cold. Kids in school are not developing proper social skills because they can't see their friends faces, it's sad they have to live in a universe where some preschoolers have never seen another kids face.

Fear mongering. We must triple mask, get 5 boosters a year, ostracize the unvaxxed and treat them as terrorist. None of which has proven to be effective.

Nah. COVID is done, the Dems realize thier plan to control/enslave ALL of us didn't work this time either. I think they released the real vaccine, you know, the one they all got before they released COVID into the world, into the waterways to cure us all.

Google translation of her post on Instagram: For my mother and aunts ... My mother and aunts spent many years of their lives behind the carpet, from childhood to the years they experienced motherhood. The weavers built a ladder to bring themselves and their families to what they are now and will be. I'm proud of having such strong women in my life. Women who, believing in better tomorrows, bought the hardest and continue to buy ... Your hard-working hands are the most beautiful hands ....

Literally happened to a friend. Her house was older and NOT in a flood zone. Developer put in condos that caused her property to periodically flood when it rained. It was loveable until hurricane Irma came through and her house got 4 ft of water in it. No flood insurance (because again, NOT IN A FLOOD ZONE), but homeowner's insurance refused to pay because it was a flood event. Turns out the permits for the condos were illegally issued because it was pretty clear what works happen to the properties on the downward slope of the ground they built up to build the condos, bus sure couldn't find an attorney to take the case to sue the county and the contractor for the damage.
