Goar sees herself as a cheerful and reckless makeup artist who adores living life to the fullest and wants to share her love of life with everyone she can. She provides makeup and beautification lessons both in person, as well as via video.
The popular makeup artist moved to Russia with her family when she was just one year old. Her path toward fame and fortune started when she was a teenager. When she was 11 years old, she started experimenting with makeup on herself.
By the age of 16, she was giving makeovers to her friends and acquaintances. Eventually, what was just a hobby turned into a full-fledged job.
Goar became a mother this year on July 3. The 27-year-old gave birth to a healthy baby boy weighing 4 kilograms (around 8.8 pounds). She shared her joy with her followers on Instagram, getting nearly 2.5 million likes. She continues to give updates about her child on social media.
You look great but your HAIR - that is absolutely stunning before as well.
Sweet! (and I still have trouble with the before/after nose shape/size)
I don't understand how they manage to make all loses look so similar! Are these pics for real?
She looks badass on first one, like nothing can breake her
You can see the beauty in her eyes on the left. She doesn't need that much makeup.
This is the kind of stuff that holds women back culturally in the West. With carnivalistic flourish we are shown what we should regard as ghastly and behold! they can be fixed with makeup and better lighting to adhere to what society thinks is an acceptable level of beauty to be featured in a movie/tv show. This normalizes the idea that women must spend hundreds of dollars for makeup products (especially if you don't want a toxic chemical soup on your face), years of accumulated application time, to be beautiful.
Some of these are really amazing, but...I kinda feel like it'd send a better message to embrace these people's differences instead of covering them up and conforming all of them to two or three 'socially acceptable' looks. Granted, living with these differences is not something I can fully imagine nor understand, and I'm not faulting or shaming these women for wanting these makeovers, but I think it would send a better message to embrace the things that stand out instead of 'fixing' them.
They look pretty, sure. But why do they all have to look like instagraminfluencers? Can they just be pretty AND themselves?
Some of these transformations are probably really powerful for some of these women. But most of them aspire to an unrealistic kind of beauty, that doesn't even look nice in real life, it actually looks as moving plastic faces. Also, the facts that this make-up style makes older women look younger and younger women look older makes no sense at all. Finding joy in life in all is stages is the key to true happiness!
They look beautiful in all both pictures! And they all look so pleased with the result, but why did you cover up some of their natural beauty? No hate, I just think you should've embraced some of their natural features.
I def get what a lot of people here are saying about how people can be beautiful without makeup, and how we shouldn't make people feel forced into looking a 'like an Instagram influencer', but, a lot of the women in this article suffer from major facial deformities and abnormalities. No matter how accepting you think you are-- you would surely do a double take if you saw them on the street in their "before" state. (It doesn't make you a bad person, it's just human nature. As a good person, you would still notice, but you would choose not to treat them differently.) Anyway, imagine if you couldn't wear clothes. Like, none. Like your body had a severe reaction to any fabric touching it in any way. Every day, for years, anytime you went outside, you knew people would be surprised and take a second look: "woah! Look at that naked person!" So imagine that this makeup is like saying "here, here is an outfit that you can wear when you want, if you want. You have choices. You can mingle with others undetected." That's a gift.
Makeup should enhance what is already there, not plaster over into something else
To me, beauty is in the heart. My grandmother, who I miss so much, was, to me, the most beautiful woman in the world. She was everything to me and did so much for everyone, as did my mom. Mother Theresa was gorgeous, the love flowed from her like water from a well. My mom did so much for her family, she died way too young from breast cancer, but I remember her and she still makes me smile with the memories. These women were beautiful before and still are.
b proud of the way you are, dont make makeup change that, you are you, not a bunch of gross chemicals
This woman used her creative talents to try to help others! Her heart is in the right place! Why do we have to be so judgmental of EVERYTHING! No one said they weren’t beautiful before. This was a woman just trying to help in a way she could. Maybe this made these ladies days! Let’s build each other up as woman instead of always judging in anyway we can....
The problem with this is that the woman doesn't dare move after this. Sweat a little and it ruins the foundation. Go for a beer and your lipstick is messed up. Go for a walk and your hair is now ruined. It's lovely to dress up once in a while, but there are guys that actually think women can look like this all the time. That only works if she's a barbie doll who stands in a closet until she's "needed".
If it makes them have a better feeling about themselves, who am I to judge. You do you.
I got something different from most people from this. The title says it, every woman is a Hollywood star. We look at all these fake people and feel ugly, fat, too dark, too light, blah, blah, blah. It IS all smoke and mirrors and this just shows that. We are all as beautiful as those photos in the mags, models in the advert, stars on the red carpet. We don't need the makeup to show us that. But without the makeup some people don't realise that they are just as beautiful as just as ”perfect” as what they see on social media.
Ya know, the makeup was good, pics were kinda cool, but honestly, most of these girls looked like your normal-nice-looking, average female just walking on the sidewalk. The few that really had any problems were obviously just caused an incident of some sort or they were born like that, which is okay too, and there's nothing you can really do about it. And even they looked better before makeup!! Really, what makes someone beautiful (or handsome for guys!) is their personality, the way they carry themselves, and their personal hygiene. so yeah that's my advice for the day :)
All the makeovers look so artificial & similar. All that needs to be done is a good treatment of a skin complaint, with a minimum of base. The lady with all the black moles really has to get professional help. Hair loss due to chemo, there are plenty of very comfortable turbans or bandanas, or wigs. Also, the Before photo often shows the lifestyle of the person, while the After makes her into someone with a different way of life. As I said, all very artificial.
Note that most (if not all) "after" photos are in different distance (heads are smaller), some with different face angle, and most (if not all) with different light angle - if looking into portraits with identical light background, "before" photos are directly to face (no shadows/same amount of shadows on left and right), and the light "after" is a bit from the photo right (left side of photo has more shadows than in "before" photo, and usually less than right side. That helps a lot with changing visual appearance
Is any of this sustainable by these women? Why such dramatic night-club type dark eye makeup? I wouldn't consider any of these to be daytime looks. While the results are dramatic, PERFECT air-brushed skin is kind of creepy. Is it possible to give a less "perfect," more human look to the skin, with a lighter touch of the airbrush? I truly don't know.... But a big thank you to the person who helped women feel better, as I assume they volunteered for this because they were unhappy with their looks. It's what THEY feel that counts.
argh. Yes, makeup can enhance or transform. But every "after" is so over exposed and filtered to hide the flaws. It's WAY too much smoky eye makeup on everyone. It's like this person can only do one look and does it on every women. It's way too unnatural for real life. They all look like they're tv presenters, not what women look like in real life.
They all like Kardashian look a-likes. Is there no such thing as natural makeup at the moment? And why so damn thick?
If you look closely at ALL the pictures, you may notice that all of the "Before" pictures and shot closer to the face than the after ones. It is a ploy to make the faces look worse than they really are. It's a photographers trick. Also if they smiled in the before pictures they would all look 1,000 % better than the pics make them out to be. This topic was total rubbish, who is Bored Panda trying to kid, they must be stuck for topics.
Yes, the Artist did some magic...Still, most of these ladies could have some VI peels and microneedling done and use of Vit C & Vit A serum,, healthy diets and some some self esteem classes. Make up can make you a slave to this routine. Nevertheless, I'm quite sure some magic was done, even for a brief moment!. As for myself, I'm no model, but after a few skin peels and more to come to help shed that sun damage and good beauty care products, not really expensive, my skin is on it's way to being natural healthy radiant. Besides, I don't wear all out make-up, but now and again lightly applied eye shadow, Mascara and skin tone lip stick...
Some of these are amazing, but all gorgeous before. Also, some look super fake and plastic after!
This makes me so uncomfortable. Is this what the human race has evolved to? That we must all comply to one standard of beauty? And if we don't submit ourselves made up we are worth less as we truly are? These women are beautiful without the makeup. If they feel otherwise it is because we have told them so.
Bit sad how most of them look "the same" after the make up. All the same eyebrows, smokey eye, cheek color etc.
I don't feel like they need to cover their so called "flaws. Maybe a tad bit of makeup to make the lips and eyes pop but not a whole face that makes them look fake
Doesn’t having that much make up on your face feel like you’re wearing a mask? I mean, that must be heavy.
makup does not make you under eye bags go away, it just makes them a less obvious color.. a lot of these photo's must have been photoshopped. The people in them do not need photoshop, they are beautifull!
Good grief, people! Some of these women have clearly been through a lot. Why criticize them for feeling better about themselves for a few moments? I need to stop reading the comments.
Every last one of these has been photoshopped 🤣. If you can’t tell look at the shape of the noses and jaw lines, as well as all the finishes which are completely flawless, no make up can give you that. All this does is make women feel horrible about themselves when they don’t get the same results. The author should do something good and show the unpolished results or the makeover, I’d be much more interested in that as it’s real.
I think this is absolutely wonderful, the transformations are amazing, but the way the women feel afterward is so reflective on their face. It is all in their eyes and they just beam how they feel. That some Awesome Body Language !
All this make up its works one famous make up artist. She live in Russia, but her heart from Armenia. Almost all this girls with life trouble and they want on one day forgot about it and feel herselfs charming princess. Goar Avetisyan of course help with wishes! She have beauty school, beauty salon. And all this she make herself! Amazing woman https://instagram.com/goar_avetisyan?igshid=1wmtkrc1ol692 . Ps Sorry for my English I try do my best ❤️
I was a ICU Burn Nurse years ago and some of my patients had horrific burns which are very disfiguring! Most chemo and immune conditions as well as neurological conditions can be extremely disfiguring. You shouldn't judge anyone because you don't know their story!! Not everyone survives their stories either! Makeup can change the way a person feels and helps with their self image. It may take more depending on the damage. So have some compassion for others who may have been the victim of another's cruelty!! BTW, my pt died from the acid burns her boyfriend threw on her, there are many more stories but you get my drift!!
In case nobody noticed it, most of the makeup models above have severe skin issues: acid and/or fire burns and scares; chemo sequels, severe acne and genetic skin conditions. Most likely, these women wanted to look "normal", not "gorgeous". Looking gorgeous was part of the game.
Several people are suggesting that women are accepted as they are. And whilst I agree to a certain extent, I would suggest that these women are asked how THEY feel? Doesn't every one want to feel beautiful? Han't that been the way for hundreds of years? Don't be hypocritical and say these women are beautiful BEFORE and after - many of them are horribly disfigured - don't deny them the opportunity to look and FEEL better about themselves!
I think many of these are photoshopped. Noses, lips and chins have been reshaped. But how do these people feel when they wash off the makeup and return to their normal selves. Even if they are not photoshopped, it would take hours to do the full job with makeup.
I Think it is Amazing that The Make Up Industry has come so Far. These Women Look Incredible. "Absolutely Beautiful". Unfortunately we Live in a Very Harsh Judgemental World. We are Our Own Worse Critics. So I Say Do What Ever Makes you Feel Better. Let's Face it, when you get Older, You Need a Little or a Lot of Help. To: All of you People who Say, Embrace Your Flaws, "You Are Insane". No One wants to Expose Flaws. When Your Young, it's Not as Serious but when Your Husband or Boyfriend Leaves you for a Younger, More Putt Together Women, You will Alway's Lose if you Don't Care About Your Appearance". Ladies, "Never Give Up", you must Keep Trying, Otherwise if you Let Yourself Go, (You have No One to Blame But Yourself.) A Little bit of Make Up Goes a Long Way. All Women are Beautiful Regardless of Flaw's. Ladies be Kind to One Another, we All want to be Loved & Accepted. Especially by Other Women. Men are Just Ungrateful Pigs. I Say Do What Ever Makes you Feel Good. Smile
This is exactly the kind of stuff that bored panda usually wants to "shut down".
I agree w all the comments before mine that raise the issue of women wearing makeup and it's push to conform them into the "plastic doll" /airbrushed image that is so widely, yet sadly, accepted and even EXPECTED nowadays.
Sorry to say... but some of the ”models” really need plastic surgery correction. So...if it disturbs you, then just take it - not to let an acquired scar on your face allow you to feel beautiful only after 2 hours make up session and kilos of cosmetic powder. This is just a temporary change that let you ”cheat” your mind for short...anyway not enough to realise your attitude.
Honestly, I do not like them. The artist is lightening their skin or making them tan. Many of you may like these but to each their own.
These Make Up Artist are "Super Talented". I Say Go for it. !!! I'm Very Happy that in Today's World there is a Easy Way w/Make Up to Help you Feel Better. There is Nothing Wrong w/That. Even w/o Make Up, Just Smile from the Inside Out. Your Spirit is Beautiful, Embrace Your Light. Take Care of Yourself & Find Your Peace & Happiness will Follow.
There's no point asking why we want to beutify ourselves. There's a part of ourselves that is drawn to beauty. Even babies are attracted to beautiful things. Animals also love beauty. It's inherent.
