Another day, another article about cats. Here we have another post about the almighty furry companions. They are everywhere. Not only do they rule your home if you happen to be owned by a cat, but they also are the kings, queens, and some would even say Gods of the internet.
Russian artist Lingvistov portrays that perfectly in her fun and hilarious comics. She illustrates what it's like living with cats, what kind of shenanigans they get into, and how they change your life. Most people that live with a feline companion will probably relate and see many similarities with their own cat.

My cat just licks her paw while maintaining eye contact! Like "yeah, what are you gonna do about it?"
My cat meows at me when I tell her she’s been bad as if she’s saying she’s sorry. She then will run off and hide
Come at me bub! My cat will sit and stare at you... sidepaw something off the table and just stare like "What ya gonna do?" ! My cats are assholes! LOL
My cat just runs away from home, and then when she's hungry again, she comes back and meows at the door until we come out.
On Lingvistov's website, they write some information about themselves: "We are a team of creative people who can’t walk past a cute book shop, who love cats, art design, illustrations, and a good joke. Hey, who doesn’t? We live in Russia and professionally we’re not even close to designers or artists (Who cares about professions?! You’re born this way!). We are also not greedy businessmen/megalomaniacs/tycoons. We actually come from different educational backgrounds (one of us even has a stable job) but were lucky to find one thing that we love doing, which is creating unique gifts and illustrations that make people around us happy. We’re very enthusiastic about what we do and about our online gift shop!"
This is so my cat!!! Sometimes I can't find her, especially when she has her eyes closed!
Mine too! she closes her eyes, and curls up and she's.... invisible! We call her Demon Fluff b/c suddenly her eyes open and we can't help being startled.
Load More Replies...My Jack is a 14 lb void, and just the sweetest, most loving, and most laid back cat I’ve ever adopted. BTW, he may be that big now, but he was the runt of his litter.
I used to have a long-haired brindle cat. When she was in pine straw, she was nearly invisible.
My cat from years back, Mr Spigotts (rest in peace buddy), was the antithesis of this. He loved, truly loved belly pats. I could blow raspberries on him tummy and he would purr!
We had a cat, Molly, a few years back, any attempt to rub her belly resulted in 4 murder mitts in to your arm and a mouthful of teeth in your hand. One day I'd come home with a welding glove in my pocket (?), she was on her back being cute. I put the glove on gave a belly rub, with resultant usual attack. I calmly took my hand out of the glove, the look of confusion on her face was priceless. ;o)
My current boy cats love their tummies rubbed but my previous girl cats hated it.
Do people actually own cats that enjoy belly rubs? My whole life I havent had a single one
Mine loves belly rubs! She never bites, just nibbles. When she's had enough she just walks away.
"Landysh (i.e. me) and Asia graduated from linguistic university and dreamed of spreading our knowledge and love of English to as many people as possible. So began the story of Lingvistov school of English via Skype, which still exists! Check it out here! But (a very important fact!) it turned out that we had much more to offer. We LOVE illustration art, cartoons, comics, memes, and brilliant English humor! And we started making Lingvistov doodles and uploading them to our website and social network pages. We also LOVE books in all their shapes and forms. And we started writing children’s books, stories, illustrating them, and making audiobooks. English is still a very important part of our lives because it lets us reach amazing people from all the corners of the Earth and make them smile when they see our doodles or read our books with funny book illustrations. Soon our students, Facebook, and Instagram followers started asking for greeting cards and art prints with Lingvistov doodles. Asking is too mild a word… demanding! So we launched our online shop with unique gifts, funny greeting cards, and illustrated books. This was the beginning of a very exciting journey that’s still continuing!"
Hahahahahaaaaa. I can relate. The only good thing is, i have monthly donations of catfood for the local shelter (Where i got my lovely fur idiots from).
Rescue a cat from the streets and she won't be finicky. I could feed Ragamuffin anything.
Load More Replies...For some reason I can relate! LOL And if I REALLY like it... they discontinue it before I can stock up!
Definitely my Molly. I have bags of rejects unreturnable because of Covid. They'll go to my sis, who has 9 cats.
Our cat would try to ease his way into your book if you were reading like that. One paw at a time, next he's almost in your lap, then a paw tentatively on the edge of the book...
Whenever my cat wants something she would just meow it us (when I say us I mean my family) and then once one of us would walk up to her and she would walk to her feeder or the door and if it was the door we would let her outside and if it was her feeder then she wants food and other times she just wants affection.
I ordered some of those sound buttons to try & teach her things like 'outside', 'food' and 'play'. Will I regret it as soon as she gets the hang of it? Most likely.
"Nothing can make your day better, sunnier, and more special than a portion of good humor and funny pictures (esp. if they feature cats)! Lingvistov doodles are absolutely unique drawings created by Landysh. They usually contain a funny joke or a well-known saying, but that’s not always the case. One of my students said they are mostly about cats, food, and sleep. I’d say they are about the most important things in our lives! Now we design, print, and deliver greeting cards and art prints with Lingvistov doodles. The idea is: if you’re looking for birthday gift ideas, a gift for mom, or just a very unusual gift that has the potential to make somebody much, much happier, Lingvistov Shop is the place to find them!"
This also the reason why i adopted them. No more negative feeling about ghost
I was woken up yesterday morning by one of my cats doing zoomies straight into a door. Cats are great. :D
Unless all the cats are all up on the bed with you and all staring intently in the same direction at...something...
Lol, every effing night. I swear my cat is a dog in disguise with the amount of door-scratching she did. Really loud and creepy in the wee hour of dawn.
One of my cats wakes me all hours of the night by finding something plastic to chew on. Spraying him with water doesn't stop him as I try to get my winks.
Or searching for the live mouse that they brought in and let go (that happened to me yesterday fml!)
I got my cat a new toy and he swatted it under the couch in about 2 minutes. He came to find me and made the SADDEST meow I have ever heard from him.
I've got the same thing with my kids, but there's also o lot of crying and screaming. ;)

I tried but it has been standing ready filled with lovely fresh clean catlitter for 2 weeks, and I cannot even find a pawprint in it. Good thing I didn't throw away the old litterbox.
Load More Replies...We have an end game setup: litter box faces the wall, there is a rug... and still litter everywhere. Even in my BED. My cat is evil x')
I did some thing similar. I use large plastic storage crates with high sides. I cut one of the sides down for the cat to get in and out, that side faces the wall. And I use the wood pellet litter that is too heavy to go very far. Doing all of that finally worked. I still get some litter on the floor, but nothing like it used to be.
Load More Replies...We had to buy a mat with holes that traps the soil. The cat litter being covered was of no use with our cats.
This right here is a good reason to invest in a covered litter box. They can still track some of the litter out, but they can't kick it all out like this so easily. xP
It doesn't work for everyone though. We once had a covered litterbox, and our cats would run in and out of it, playing in it even more.
Load More Replies...Should’ve had at least one of them—-the more high-strung one (there’s always at least one)—-startle awake and freak out at the sudden sound.
I work from home now and that is the face I see during nap time all the time! Any noise I make....
Any of your cats ever sneeze in your face, snot and all? My cat Brownie would make herself comfortable on my torso then sneeze in my face. When I started doing the same to her, she would look at me as if I molested her.
YUP!! LOL "Stay still ya little freak!" Cat: FU
Load More Replies...When I foster kittens, I have to take cute pictures of them to post on the adoption sites. Kittens are fast moving objects. Even with a DSLR and a fast lens, I'll take 200 photos to get 3 good ones, and most of them look like the picture on the right.
I was feeding them right before the photoshoot, I've got gems like that IMG2020062...22b5a4.jpg
Actually mine is pretty good. She just lies there looking annoyed because I woke her up
It's the same with pet rats. Even when they're asleep. The moment you approach the cage phone in hand because "awww, look at them all snuggled up in their hammock!" they wake up and start rushing around like furry little maniacs. :p
My cat will hold her pose until just as my finger moves to take the picture. Then she whips around and I get a shot of her butt.
I once found some photos my aunt had taken of her cat. Half of them were failures. (Keep in mind this was before digital cameras.)
I've taught my boy "ears?" and he'll actually fake scratch by me until i say "ears?" upon which he'll jump up purring a storm
My cats are all different when it comes to belly rubs, but the universal favorite scratching places are their ears and chins.
My cat will literally fall over because he pushes so hard against my fingers when I scratch his ears.
I used to have two cats who were littermates. They got along wonderfully for five years. Then they started fighting - big time. I don't know why they came to hate each other. I had to re-home one.
* weird all yancavic inactive song blasts on full volume* IM WAKING UP WITH CHEETO DUST-
After one of my fur baby's gone, I always make sure to hug and tell my other cat that I love her, even when she hate my hug so much, just in case XD
I'm sorry for your loss. I kiss my birds far too much because they won't live very long.
Load More Replies...Love the cat´s expression in the last one. He´s like "Wth is happening now?"
Amazing! I do this all the time and I swear I thought I was weird and the only one!
I do this with my dog. He’s like the sweetest puppers, but he has huge teeth
Kittens need to be hissed at. Some kind of cat lore, IDK. I think that cats are generally quite good with baby animals/humans in general though
My mom rescued a kitten when I was a toddler. The cat slept with me, and if I disturbed her, she just waited until I settled, then went back to sleep :)
Load More Replies...Rule of cat: All new arrivals are evil until proven warm enough to sleep on/by/against.
Oh my gosh my neighbors cat used to come over when he was a kitten and whenever my older kitty was sleeping, he would sneak up to her and then just bop her with his paw! My cat absolutely hated him I can’t say that I blame her one bit! He’s better now that he’s older. Mostly he lets her boss him around.
Whenever my cat does the stretchy thing in her sleep when she puts her paws to her face I have to focus SO HARD not to touch her. It's too cute!
Also, we don't get bothered when they sit on our faces when we're sleeping!
My cat is perfectly capable of navigating stacks of books and stuff. She knocks things off when she wants my attention and to let me know she displeased that I am not feeding her right. this. minute.
I have a super cat, he never dropps things, intentionally or by accident.
I have one of those too - she jumps on the work table, accurately goes around all keyboards, mice, glasses and other stuff, touches nothing and knocks nothing over. Awesome.
Load More Replies...misunderstood creatures. they r simply testing if gravity still works.
I bet if I had two cats they would be fighting over my dad
When I was growing up I had a digital alarm clock. Every morning at 7AM sharp - and I mean SHARP - my cat attacked my toes.
My fur bombs are the opposite. If they see it... it's OK, but under a cover... look out!
I've had that happen with my hand, but not my foot, fortunately.
I try that IT NEVER WORKS I CAN NEVA KISS MY CAT *sobs*
Just about every cat I have ever lived with has done this to me a few times. Or many times.
I have accidentally trained my cat to come up and kiss me when I get home I looked up why he did it and apparently that's how some cats greet each other i have unlocked cat level
if my cat bites me shell instantly lick where she bit
It's like they wake up from a coma and revert back to the basic instinct of their fierce ancestors.
Same. When I had Covid it was the only time in the ENTIRE LIVES they didn't demand food outside of the normal time and even then they didnt bug me to feed them. They just waited. The rest of the time they stayed within a few feet of me at all times and even took turns walking me to the bathroom. I knew I was getting better when they stopped babysitting.
Load More Replies...When I was flattened by pneumonia, my cat would press her entire length against my side to keep me warm. That was the only time she ever did that.
my cats tend to be nice to me and sleep on me when i'm sick or having a mental breakdown.
There was this one time when I was sick and had a cat, and he just stayed at the foot of my bed all night. Scared the crap out of my mom when she came to check on me
Why I haven't done this!!!!!! My cat is a Turkish Angora! He's perfect for this!!!!
They all have that moment when they can’t fit in their favorite hiding places anymore. Their faces when it happens are like “S**t! Why can’t I get under/in here anymore?”
8 weeks "Mum, she's gone under the radiogram. Correction, she's gone up inside the radiogram" Mum lies down to make sure the kitten doesn't get squished as dad and I move huge piece of old furniture. Remove the back cover for 1st time in over 60 years. Out pops tiny Persian kitten still in shades of grey, but now with a thick coat of dust and cobwebs.
My cat did this to my mom once now she calls simba (my cat) “ugly”
Load More Replies...My cat once ate half of black olives I prepared for my meal. And by "half" I mean a half of every single olive lol
That's very funny! Sorry for upper comment, made it by mistake and don't know how to delete it
Load More Replies...My Soviet union cat sticks her paw in so you can always tell because it tastes like how her litter box smells
I'd say maybe do the litterbox more often? But you'd never be warned by the taste... Mine just look at you dead in the eyes while doing the "stick paw in" so I even have proof (save your coffee is not an option when you can capture the whole assholeness on a pic)
Load More Replies...My cat accidentally got sour cream on her nose while peeking at my burrito and was startled and licked it off...the look on her face was priceless...now she stalks me at every meal until she sees what I'm eating and confirms it's not this glorious new substance. (That we don't let her have of course)
I mean a tiny bit is OK, right? Mine likes a little bit of butter, mayonnaise, vanilla ice cream.
Load More Replies...Cats shouldn't drink milk but they live it. Even my parents dog Two 🤷
One of my cats sleeps on my chest and the other sleeps between my knees. I don't complain.
It's hard to get enough air to say anything when your ribs are being used as a mattress. :)
Load More Replies...i often wake up from sleep paralysis only to find out that my cat is sleeping on my chest. i don't know if he wakes me up from it or he causes it.
I had a cat which did that when I was a child... And it was a f*****g Maine c**n !
My cat does that every day (she's actually doing it now), its sweet for about 10 seconds because after that, she starts starts pulling my hair with her claws and teeth and it hurts. We call her our little hairdresser.
Load More Replies...Yes, and the wool blanket, too. I can still hear the sound... Rasp, rasp...
Sometimes when I can't find her, I open a can of wet food. She appears in 0.1 seconds!
My cats do greet me at the door when I come home. It usually means that they want food.
My cat would hide under corner of bed to ambush (no claws) ankles, but forget about tail. Every so often. I'd stay just out of range, but lean over to give tail a shake. CLONK from under bed, then cat wanders out from other side, pretending it wasn't her.
Load More Replies...I keep another standby bedsheet (two standby pillows). 4 cats 1 human 1 bed. regular struggle.
i have come to believe that cats have access to a dimension we can't perceive. that's where they store their knick-knacks and pull them out when it's time.
I used to give my neighbors cats food(extra food, not that my neighbors didn't feed their cats)and after one had finished their food they would start eating the others
My dog used to curl up un the crook of my knees. This was fine, until she stretched. She wasn't supposed to be a gynecologist
I never understood some cats wanting to shove their heads into your shoes.
Same. I don't understand it when my kitten shoves her head into a cup and scoots around the room.
Load More Replies...especially when it's a thirty dollar cat toy. Then they go off and play with an old lint ball.
*insert a witty humorous comment because i'm running off of 2 hours of sleep and my cat is sleeping on my chest restricting my ability to breathe*
Same. Except I dont have a cat and i have no idea whos cat this is. Anyway, he´s mine now.

My cats will hear when I print something and they will come to check it out. Although I didn’t know that was a cat thing 🤔
Half of these sounded like our 3 year old female tux (the ones involving biting), the other half sounded like our calico (the ones involving anything BUT biting)
