Guy Denied Permission By His Wife To Go To World Cup In Russia, So His Friends Take Him Anyway… As A Cardboard
Every football fan probably dreams of attending the World Cup, which happens once every four years. And when you‘re finally granted this once in a lifetime opportunity... Your wife gets in your way.
This is what happened to a Mexican guy Javier who was denied permission to go to FIFA World Cup held in Russia this year by his wife. In 2014, when the World Cup was held in Brazil, these five friends decided they‘re going to attend the next one and started saving money. Since a lot of people traveled to the previous football World Cup by car, guys got an idea to buy an affordable house on wheels, paint it in their own way, and organize it according to their needs. After finishing it, the whole squad couldn‘t wait for the big day.
However, it turns out that as soon as Javier told his wife about this adventure, she wasn‘t supportive at all. Javier had to deliver these heartbreaking news to his buddies, who then decided they will go without him. Although Javier wasn‘t allowed to go, his funny friends decided to take him anyway... As a cardboard cutout. So they printed a life-size version of him with a T-shirt that says, "My wife didn‘t let me go" and went to have the time of their lives in Russia. Well, it‘s obvious that the squad is having fun, we‘re not so sure about Javier though...

Did they buy the bus in Russia or have it transported? Seems impractical to transport it, but I'm not familiar with the logistics.

Don't jump into conlusions, maybe she didn't let him because he would spend a lotnofbmoney on the trip and they have a lot of debts. It happens.

Maybe there is more going on then her not letting him go. Maybe he is an a**e who goes off with his friends all the time and doesn't spend time with her.

There's two things I don't understand about this story: first, how come they buy a bus and paint it and all such (meaning they spend a lot of money AND a lot of time), and Javier's wife doesn't realise what they're doing and going to do? I mean, if I bought the bus with my friends, I'd be totally excited and I'd tell my wife as soon as I talk to her because it's a friggin amazing thing and I want her to be happy with me. Or maybe he suspected her to deny him, so he didn't tell her? Yet the next thing is, why the heck did the wife forbid it? This was his great dream. If I was her, I'd try to support him as good as I can, even if I'm not into football or whatever reason I'd have to not like this hobby of my husband.

Need more background story before doing the judging, like that guy in another story.... But if its true its sad though, its not annual event, if something happened to him, she would be crushed for ever denying him his dream... But again we don't know the real story
