Let's be honest for a moment: weddings can get a little wearying. They seem to go on forever, during which time you're forced to make conversation with relatives you've been avoiding for years and random drunk people who nobody seems to have invited. You yearn to sneak out the back door when nobody is looking, but you don't want to be remembered as that person who left the party early, so you stay, and you wait. And you wait. And you wait. Because that's the polite thing to do.
As you can see from these hilarious wedding pictures compiled by Bored Panda however, kids couldn't care less about what's polite, and they're going to let you know exactly how they feel...which is pretty much how many of us feel, except we're not allowed to show it. Don't forget to vote for your favorite picture!

The groom removing the brides garter with his teeth is fairly common around here (Country Australia).
Load More Replies...let's see, brother or son? favorite nephew maybe? he has some deep seeded morals either way. get him kid!
This is common in France too... I really have a trouble with this "tradition". In my familly we are into this but I remember a friend who had to let an old uncle from her husband do this (he won the right during an auction, all the money goes to the couple). She wasn't OK for this but had to accept not to displease the husband familly. This was really painful to watch. I heard the uncle was happy because he had "paw another bride". All the "buying" the right to paw a woman makes me really unconfortable.
What is this tradition? I've never seen this before--men bid on the right to climb up the bride's dress? Please explain.
Load More Replies...there are even weirder ones and they aren't traditional, they come up with new ridiculous wedding games all the time :/

We did this at my last wedding but i just wore it low like right above my knee . That way it wasn't hard to get to and it wasn't in any way showing or nasty . i just lifted my dress on that leg and let him nab it and give it a good chunk .
It's an elastic and lace band that goes around the woman's thigh. Comes from the days of stockings when the garter held up the stocking. The tradition here is to remove the bride's garter then throw it to the single men (in juxtaposition to the bride throwing the bouquet).
Load More Replies...Geez. Half you women act like its way up by her lady bits. Calm down. Its not risqué its just a thigh
This is not okay. It looks like his head was all the way up there with her dress covering it wtf

My 2 year old brother was a part of my wedding party. He sat between my hubby and me during the ceremony, stared up at me and said "Sissy, you are so beautiful". It made me cry. 20 years later I was a part of his wedding party so I walked up to him at the alter and told him he was so handsome, and he cried. I'm so thankful he's my brother.
Poor little people-they are just not made to be at weddings/formal events. Standing still and being quiet for long periods is not their forte.
Dunno who down voted you, but your idea of not allowing kids is great. You'll lose a guest or two for sure but it's still better for both you and the kids. They wouldn't want to come anyway if they have enough sense.
Load More Replies...Well, what did they expect? I'd go crazy too and I perfectly understand those poor kids. I don't even consider getting married, weddings are not only expensive and long to organize, they are also incredibly boring.
I had no interest in having flower girls or ring bearers before this, but i think this post convinced me it is a good idea! It seems like they have a high potential to add a lot of humor to the event :D (I am totally serious about this; i think i would enjoy the photos and videos with the kids doing weird things more than if everything went perfectly.)

Wedding is something we like to share, with our relative, friends.... I love to see people I care about celebrate their love even if I will never ever get married, but, let's be honnest how many times were those ceremonies borring AF? Some priest/mayor have just the thing to make it a long and tiresome moment (in France at least). I understand that kids do not get any interest at it. When my mother remarried 2 years ago, the mayor spoke during 12 minutes about the kids my mother and her husband were going to have and raise. Both 60+ years old, both kids 20+, the only kids they want around them are grand-children. 12 minutes looking like 12 hours....
I got married 2 weeks ago and i had a 2 year old flower girl and a 5 year old page boy-They had a ball!I had no problem inviting kids-they lightened the mood and made my day really special.
These kids represents me hehehehe ,okaaay weddings are amazing but sometimes is boring like hell
well you don't exactly seem like a sweet treat yourself

When I was like 9 I went to this weird costume party where everyone was dressed up like pandas or penguins or something. Idk they were all wearing black and white except for these girls who wore poofy green dresses (I think they were fairies) stood next to a stage with more guys dressed as penguins on the other side. In the center of the stage was a guy with a bible and ANOTHER penguin who looked very happy. Then this old dude linking arms with a girl in a big white dress who was probably also a fairy walked down the aisle and stood with the happy penguin. The Bible guy talked for like 45 minutes straight and then they kissed and we all ate cake and danced. Later somebody asked for all the single ladies to come onto the dance floor and then a lady in a big white dress threw a bunch of flowers at me while a bunch of people I barely knew stood there and clapped saying I was gonna get married soon, which freaked me out, and then I ate more cake.
Why do people continue to do this to the children? The kids don't understand the significance of what is going on and will more often than not will ruin it, because they are kids. Including kids in the wedding is great, don't get me wrong, but they're not really ready for a significant role that requires them to perform or have the patience of an adult.
You don't sound like someone with much patience yourself!
Load More Replies...There's really just one solution to all of this chaos...DON'T INVOLVE KIDS AT WEDDINGS. Sheesh.
Sometimes adults create chaos or look tired, bored etc, so if a "solution" were required perhaps it would be better to have no guests at all?
