The plant on the right gets substantially more sunlight than the plant on the left with the shadow of the shed but sure. (That being said, research does show that the gentle vibrations of normal, calm voices can stimulate plant growth. Google it.)

It is ridiculous and it’s really harmful for your self stem. The other day I saw a L T-shirt that was 1Cm wider than a xxs. Two trousers of the same size, one fit perfectly and the other didn’t pass my tights. I bought in the same store a xxL and a L that were the same size (of a normal L). I felt horrible when I needed a xxL until I measured it with the other shirt I got. It’s horrible for the self steam.

USA! USA! USA! The American system of healthcare and healthcare insurance is the most cruel and barbaric lie ever perpetrated on a modern society. Sure, the best healthcare if you can afford it (looking at you Zombie Cheney), but for the 90% of the rest of us: this. Having said that, I have been inside the gaping maw of the system as a patient, and I am compelled to say that most of the actual caregivers are frickin' awesome!

On the subject of hospital bills ripping you off, at 15 i was admitted to the hospital for excessive vomiting. I could do literally nothing else besides sleep and vomit. Eating? Not a chance. Drinking ANYTHING? Also no. The very thought made me throw up. The hospital charged my mother for a week's worth of meals. When i literally could not eat!

my late husband had diabetes. We wound up in a class action lawsuit brought by the state against our insurance. They denied every claim after his totals reached $5,000. That would happen in January for us, as he had all of the complications.

Insurance companies don’t come up with the prices on medical bills. Yes, I know they negotiate prices but if they had their way, healthcare would be dirt cheap. My point is that the system as a whole is messed up. But make no mistake, everyone is out to make money on your health in the US. It’s not a single party.

My grans village was the same. Our street had lovely small trees since the 1900s when it was built. Big enough to be pretty but small enough to not feel oppressive in a small street. Around the 60s people starting cutting them because they all wanted to look city like to pretend to be fancier. My family kept the trees or replanted them until I was a teenager. I had seen neighbours breaking the branches and trying to kill them. At the end they both died and my grandmas gave up.
