I am an extremely helpful person. It is a compulsion at this point because as an only child, I learned I'd better be funny and helpful in order to make friends. Yet, in all my long years, I have never touched someone's mobility device without asking if they needed help. It is an extension of their body. The only thing that would make this better is a low level current running through the grips.

Good idea. Some ppl really need to learn to keep their hands to themselves or mind their own business

I NEED these. Though I've started telling people that don't listen and insist on pushing me that my wheelchair is an extension of my body and they just grabbed my bewbs and please remove their hands before I start screaming SA

Other than absolutely dire circumstances - like some kind of malfunction leading to a potentially serious injury, I can't imagine touching someone's mobility device without consent

People are rude as hell. When did ASKING before touching fade to the wayside?

I started to wonder why are prosthetics... boring. In the best case they provide mostly the normal function, but why not more? How about screwdriver bits storage. Powerbank. External hard drive. First aid kit. Bottle opener. Or for leg you can have there a storage space for a telescope. You know when you had the absolute misfortune of losing a limb, why not get something cool?

The colour changing showers are powered by the actual water. So I don't really see the risk, but cool idea though. My concern would be the longevity of the colour sensitivity in this plastic./

The LED shower heads don't use electricity. They have a turbine wheel propelled by the water.

How does this work? I understand it's heat-dependent, but how can you get such drastic colour change?

Sometimes people live in an apartment or rented home that makes installing a shower head impossible. I have neuropathy, and would buy one of these in a heart beat! I, too, can't tell if things are to cold or to hot.

This right here is where the new health care system has begun. As more people become familiar with 3D printing, I can see people helping family members by printing 3D fingers, toes, hands, whatever. Then friends of families will start asking. Then the person with the 3D printer will start asking to pay a small fee to cover whatever is needed to be printed. Pretty soon, healthcare will realize they can't make money by charging people $20 for a box of tissue and $30,000 for a two-day stay in the hospital. They will have to adapt or quit. Healthcare costs will go down. Doubtful it'll happen in my lifetime, but that's my hope for the future. Healthcare is low to no cost for everyone.

Never, ever, EVER rely on murican healthcare. It's not designed to fix you, it's designed to hoover as much money out of you as possible before you vacate the bed for the next victim.

Now I want to see the professional one. Qustion: Would OP had accepted this as a no-pay solution from his doctors? It is fantastic that the other person stepped up, and the costs sound indeed far beyond reason - but it seems to be two extremes here.
