Oh, we like to think of ourselves as real hardy internet veterans who've seen it all and can't be surprised by anything anymore. The fact is, every once in a while, we come across something so ‘out there' that it reminds us that the waters of the net are vaster and more tempestuous than they might seem.
One place that's chock full of the weird things that people do and say online is the ‘insane people tweets' page (yes, yes, no capital letters to be found in the name). It's something else, I tell you, dear Pandas. Have a look at some of the most bizarre things that people have tweeted below, upvote the photos that caught your attention the most, and be sure to give the Twitter page a follow if you like how uncomfortable it makes you feel.
But a note of warning before you start: this really is just downright weird stuff that'll make you leave your comfort zone. Here be Twitter dragons. As well as dark humor and not-so-humor.
However, one person who's mastered the art of posting great content on social media is British comedy writer Ariane Sherine. She's an expert on what's quality and what's not and told Bored Panda that the rules that govern social media definitely don't apply in real life. "That's why people are so horrible to each other online, where there's no response except for text. You can't get punched in the face over Twitter! This lack of consequences can lead people to say crazy and awful things, secure in the knowledge that there won't be any real-world consequences."

Handy if you need to get rid of a fresh bruise. Leeches are used in medicine to improve blood flow after some surgeries. Maggots are still used in medicine to get rid of necrotic tissue from bad wounds.

I was a bit confused as to how you could only use one foot as where I find from the vast majority of cars are manual. I'm guessing if you drive an automatic you can use one foot for both the accelerator and the brake.

Sure, you can type an asterisk and say 'joke', but that kind of ruins the original joke," the social media virtuoso said, adding that there are subtle ways to indicate sarcasm, but each post is unique, so it'll be different on a case-by-case basis.
Ariane told Bored Panda that if anyone's ever sitting on the fence about whether or not to post something online, they should reach out to their friends and family to get their take on everything. "I often run tweets past friends if I'm worried they're dodgy! And my friends usually reassure me, and they're generally correct. I haven't had a pile-on or been canceled yet—touch wood!"

I understand anime actually uses hyperbolic phrases and pronunciation that are different from natural Japanese speech. Like if you were to talk English like a Shakespearean stage actor, people would think you were very weird. So people who learn Japanese from anime are bound to sound bizarre and aren't going to learn what real Japanese speech sounds like.

Please keep in mind that some people are naturally as skinny as those first two pictures. Not referring to the girls in the photos, but in general. I've been underweight all my life, I eat 3 meals/days + snacks but due to my metabolism I hardly gain weight. Please remember to make a difference between anorexic people and naturally underweight people :)
The 'insane people tweets' account has grown massively in popularity in just a few short months. Founded in December 2020, ‘insane people tweets' has racked up nearly 417k followers in that small period of time. If that's anything to go by, the odds are that the page is going to be hitting a million followers pretty soon.
Oh, some of these posts are funny in a dark humor kind of way. But it's not something that you'd bring up at the dinner table. It makes your eyebrows shoot into your hairline and wonder what's wrong with some people and if they might genuinely require some counseling or professional help. Either that or they're shocking others for attention on the net and trying to be ‘funny' on purpose.
If dark humor makes you feel uncomfortable, dear Readers, that's kind of the point—it's meant to go against the grain. However, you can't just blurt something, anything out without considering the impact it might have. While at the same time, you want to avoid overly censoring yourself for fear of making somebody feel uncomfortable. There's got to be a balance between the two (and if only Aang, the Last Airbender, were around to help us achieve it).

Nope. Not even close. I had the exact opposite reaction after my oldest was born. I felt super panicky because in my hormone fueled brain, he wasn't safe out there all exposed to the world. And even though I needed a blood transfusion to keep me alive and I was utterly exhausted on a cellular level, I was literally sobbing when they took him to the nursery so I could sleep. I needed to keep him safe and I couldn't keep him safe if I couldn't see him. Those new mama hormones can be really intense for sure, but not in the way that idiot describes.

As a former addict (clean nearly 12 years thank you Jesus!!) this irritates me! This is exactly why we have to change our “people, places, and things” especially in early sobriety. It’s a must for the majority of addicts. Don’t waste time on people who don’t inspire, encourage, and respect you. Best of luck to those struggling. Keep fighting the good fight. Being body positive doesn't mean you don't change, or can't change. We all change. It's about how and why we change if we do. If girl wanted to lose weight, it's no one's business. I started shifting weight because my knees hurt all the time and I decided the weight was easier to shifting than dealing with the resulting damage of pain pills. As Nicole Byer says 'Keep remarks on my body out of your mouth.' My body and health are none of your business. You don't know a thing about me, I don't know a thing about you, why do you think I need or want to hear your remark, from either side? When Adele shifted weight, I was more concerned about her voice than the why. There's a reason professional classical singers tend to keep a steady weight. Watch comparisons of Jennifer Hudson pre and post weight loss singing. She's still a lovely singer, but her posture, clarity, and volume have drastically changed. The physical support is no longer there.

Ariane drew attention to the fact that plenty of comedians are scared of being de-platformed or canceled for what they joke and post about. Social media is a tad tone-deaf in that it's easy to take comments out of context, in spite of the original tone or sarcasm that the author intended. So, in the comedian's opinion, you have parts of society that need to edit what they say more while others should try to loosen up and be less sensitive. Especially when it comes to humor.

Some people feel really connected to their community. For example, if you are a ... let's say youtuber on a small channel, you have a certain amount of followers who are always with you. Nowadays, it's normal to also invite them to instagram and twitter, so the community (which also creates some income, after all) might keep updated about events. Now, if you posted that you might be away for a while because you'll be a father/mother soon, you might feel the need to share that with the people you feel have a connection to your life (not to mention help you by creating that (maybe small) income). So you post "Yay, dad soon!" and then later, when people have been kind all over, you also post the "update". Also maybe so they wouldn't keep asking all the time how the baby is (which might be painful). So ... something like this might come to pass.

I remember a few months ago in Cali when the world was literally yellow for a few days. It's exactly like the photos(like, just as thick and whatnot) except you always feel like you're seeing it wrong. Super weird

Some incredibly smart people believe in God. There is scientific proof, it is way over my head, but it exists. The top comment is disrespectful, rude, and unnecessary. I wasn’t brought up religiously and I’m thankful I wasn’t pressured to do anything I didn’t want to but for a while I was a nihilist and I got very depressed and philosophical. I just think there is a god which is good because I have something to believe in. I don’t have a specific religion but people should keep there own beliefs because they could be right.

I will probably have to use the food bank like I have the last few months. I also have an iPhone that I was given to me when it wasn’t wanted any more. It’s my lifeline for keeping in touch with people, but I can only do the bare minimum on it because it’s so old. Honestly, this is a horrible article. When I clicked on it, the thumbnail was the post about eating watermelon rinds; I was prepared for light-hearted "cursed" posts that are more quirky than insane. Instead, I was shown a bizarre mix of some of the most disgusting & heartless people on the internet. Why would anyone want to view this kind of overwhelming negativity?
