Through simple linework, vivid colors and delicate textures, Italian illustrator Giulia Rosa explores modern contemporary life, taboos, and romance. In these illustrations, one may find deep themes of diversity, sexuality, and modernity being discussed in a delicate and visually powerful way.
Giulia's illustrations speak volumes about the feelings and thoughts that arise from reflecting complex themes like relationships, feminism, daily life, censorship, and other issues that permeate our current world. It's one of the reasons why the artist enjoys popularity of over 500k followers on Instagram, as it's very relatable to many contemporary readers.

Someone* We are people in our own right, we're not just a relation
Load More Replies...I was five when it happened to me and my sister was 12 when it happened to her. So probably jelly shoes, and some sort of frilly skirt.
I'm sorry you had to go through that as a small child
Load More Replies...But her illustrations don't just passively celebrate womanhood, or talk about "girl problems." The artist uses her art for good; it stands as a platform for social activism, and the images are charged with powerful arguments for women's rights, equality, and other poignant issues. In short, her images have character.
Oh man, commit to it and tell us why! Honestly, mansplaining is one of my favorite forms of comedy. I live for it.
Load More Replies...I personally don't agree with abortion but I think for some women it may be a good thing for them and I wouldn't want to make it illegal, I'm just saying I don't agree with it
Esther, it’s the woman’s body. Don’t tell her what she can or cannot do, and if you don’t want children but you end up getting pregnant, why not just have one? And the child has nothing to live for, it won’t remember anything anyway. It’s a matter of what the woman wants to do or not. It shouldn’t be illegal. What’s next, people can’t buy nice houses because other’s don’t have the money for it?
You eat an animal daily, look at you hypocrite, bro LOL
Load More Replies...The artist is brave enough to talk about such sensitive issues like sexual assault, unequal rights, body positivity, sexism, as well as mental health and anxiety, insecurity and laziness. But simply saying that her illustrations are all about doom and gloom is quite wrong. There are bits of brightness, wholesomeness, love, self-exploration and self-acceptance in almost every illustration that she has made.
Hands up all women who have felt the need to be "normal" and symptom free when they have their period so it cannot be used to explain everything you do that a guy doesn't like/appreciate/ wants....
Besides, we don't need to be on our periods to be in a bad mood. We don't need to be happy all the time.
No, I'm in a bad mood all month because you are an annoying little shirt
Most periods are accompanied by symptoms at least 3 days before, and then sometimes 3 days after. Some women even have symptoms while ovulating. And this happens Every. Single. Month. It's exhausting. But women go about their daily lives despite all of these symptoms and changes like they're nothing. Women are soo amazingly and beautifully strong!
I was made to feel like an alien bc diarrhea was a major herald of Aunt Flo coming to town for me. Mostly by doctors, if you can believe that.
Isn't it normal to be in a bad mood sometimes? I try to not ask why, but I catch myself wanting to fix whatever is wrong because I care about my partner. I want to help her feel better when sometimes all I should be doing is listening. Please be patient if this is what's happening. Our intention is to help. All I can say is I'm trying my best.
If you like her work, we strongly suggest checking out her socials if you want to check out more of her works. And if you don't just like it, but simply love it, make sure you check out her online shop where she sells quality prints of her works, or just follow her on her socials to keep updated. But for now, enjoy the art!
I have started a photo project of taking nude photos of women of all shapes and sizes. My goal is to show the world that nudity is ok, everyone is beautiful and no one should feel ashamed. My beautiful wife is my first model and she is stunning.
I think that this is a wonderful endevor! Nudity in art has always fascenated me
Load More Replies...My husband and I will have conversations about our health though. We are not nasty to each other or critical of each others appearances, but as we got into our 30s and our jobs keep us sitting at a desk all day, we did have a lot of conversations and planned out better diets and work outs. Our diets were already pretty healthy, but we both lacked any energy so I would say it is good for couples in long term relationships to have honest conversations as time goes by. Running together before work helped out a ton with our sex drives and just having more energy around the house.
she is smiling on the last page, this is pure acceptance
Load More Replies...This is how I handle people coming out to me. K. You do you, boo ❤️
If you're not gay but an ally, here's some gay advice: Be as excited about someone's coming out as they are. It can be a big deal. They may've spent a lot of time scrutinizing over how to tell you. They may want to talk about it. They may not want to talk about it. It might not be a big deal to them. If you want to be a good ally, pay attention and mirror their effort back to them. Also, ideally, say thank you. They have just shared a piece of themselves with you.
My oldest son came out to me 10 days ago. I welled up, gave him a huge hug, and told him how proud I am and how much I love him. He told me that he wanted to make sure that what he felt was not a phase before he told me. He waited two years!!! I love my son more each day than I did the day before. I can't imagine how hard it must be, even having parents that are allies, to come out.
thanks! the world needs more supportive parents like you!
Load More Replies...If you're up for more similar illustrations, here's a few that we can offer on Bored Panda. Another Italian artist created these accurate illustrations about the difficulties that women have living in a patriarchal society. Another artist creates uplifting illustrations about self-love that are also in a similar vein. And here's a post about recently featured artist Liana Finck, who talks about similar problems, but in her own uniquely funny and observant style.
Me....chilled/laid back... then anxious because I have to deal with...people...
*moods. NOT personalities. I have Dissociative Identity Disorder and I am disheartened when people who may have mood swings etc or feel like this claim it as having another personality.... please, don't do this, as actually dealing with a split or multiple personalities is extremely difficult and scary at times. Anyway, with that said I really love this artists style :)
Every woman should have photos of herself without makeup or styled hair in case she goes missing and ends up in distress.
Holy sh*t! I never thought of this! This is so clever!
Load More Replies...I don't understand social media like Instagram or facebook. Who cares the only people that do you probably see them often in person so why post online.
What is your profession? If I don't wear makeup and feminine clothes at work, I will be jobless very soon.
Load More Replies...I love the sentiment, but in reality it is so difficult to tell your self it's irrational/it's not real when sometimes there is a real chance of it happening. e.g. last night the lights in my house started flickering and I thought there would be a blackout. I was anxious for a half-hour before mum said it's just wind. WAs still anxious for a bit. But I do like it.
It does. Start an inner dialogue with YOURSELF. Not with those you seek validation from.
Load More Replies...That white dress and coffee is making me anxious - it’s a spill-and-stain just waiting to happen!
No kidding. Doesn't she realize how many hours it takes to soak/scrub/soak/scrub coffee out? And that it never comes out completely? Argh!
Load More Replies...As I read somewhere, Mother Nature hates white clothes.
Load More Replies...Yup. Going to the doctor? ANXIETY! Going on that rollercoaster? ANXIETY. Going to school? ANXIETY. Going outside? ANXIETY!!!!!!
Yes, as if it has elsewhere to be if you are not still watching
Load More Replies...NO, Netflix, I am not. I'm sleeping in front of my streaming because there are some nights where that helps, for whatever reason. I am not, in the strict sense, "watching". Now shut up and do your ONE job!!
I always remember my childhood and I’m like “I want to go back.”
Quick turn off the wifi! Monday must not finish loading!!
because it's BP and god forbid they show a paintings nipple.
Load More Replies...What if her nipple was censored on purpose..another form of pollution. 🤜🎤🤯
My friend and I have been friends for 50 years; through thick and thin; her emigrating to Canada and me saving like hell to go and see her for 6 weeks. We phone each other every week on Messenger. We pick up where we left off. We tell each other secrets still, we tell each other we love each other. I could not wish for a better friend.
Load More Replies...I just saw that after you pointed it out, thanks!

This is what I'm scared of the most with my dog. Her dying, then thinking I didn't love her enough or pay enough attention, or forget the things that make her special
I've lost two dogs in the past few years and while I miss them every day (even with a new doggo in the house) I have videos of them on my phone which is comforting. As well as knowing they were loved their whole lives.

That’s what I was thinking. The embrace looks so forceful

It is, I know one. They fight over every little thing, but love each other very much.

Load More Replies...well, as long as both are over 18 and thus old enough to consent, and both people are happy, then it isn't too much of a problem. my fiance is a few years older than me (she is 30 this october and I will be 26 in december xP)
four years is practically nothing once you're adults--its once you start getting to 8, 10 year differences... o__0

Thanks for these. I really enjoyed and appreciated specially the ones about anxiety. It is so real.
I love how simple yet meaningful they are. I also love how they look old.
