“What It’s Like To Have A Cat”: 40 Illustrations By This Artist (New Pics)
Interview With ArtistIf you clicked on this post based on the title, we are going to assume you are a cat person, and that you’ve come to the right place! With that being said, today we’d love to show the new illustrations of a Hungarian artist called Rita Vigovszky. Rita’s work mostly features her cats, which are one of the most popular pets. In times when a lot of people find comfort in pets and also connect with them on a deeper level, the artist uses her talent to explore the relationship between cats and their owners.
Rita illustrates her life with a cat, and perhaps some of these illustrations might remind you of familiar situations with your own pets. With that being said, if you’d love to see more of Vigovszky’s work on Bored Panda, then make sure to click here for part 1 of the illustrations!

Bored Panda reached out to the author of the comics, first, we asked about how the artist started making comics, and how the whole thing came about.
"I've always enjoyed these types of short webcomics, and unconsciously started to make my own ones way before I even started to share them with the public. They are a fun way to share your feelings with the world, and see how people find these feelings relatable."
We were also wondering what inspires Rita to make comics overall.
"Miyu (Rita's cat) has been and will be my muse, but I like to take inspiration from everywhere, from my own life principally, obviously, but I always try to make mental sketches and look for ideas for new comics. I have a lot of ideas I have yet to make, I just need more time for them!"
With all of that being said, we were wondering whether the artist was always making comics or if it was just something she started doing recently, and here's what she told us.
"Drawing has always been very important in my life, even since I was a little girl, and I started experimenting with digital drawings during my teenage years, but I had never thought until finishing college that making illlustration could be my career one day."
A lot of people enjoy the work Rita puts out, so we were curious about what it was like to have such a motivating audience.
"It's so, so rewarding. Especially when you feel like the world is burning with all of these horrible events going around, seeing a comment where someone says my comic made them laugh or I get a heartfelt feedback for one of my commissioned illustrations - that's what keeps you going. It's just a very nice feeling to know you might make someone's day a little bit better."
Lastly, we decided to let the artist share her additional thoughts with all of you Pandas.
"I'm constantly trying to improve my artistic skills and experimenting with new techniques, it's a never-ending learning curve and I am never satisfied with myself. I'm trying to make my art more niche, because I tend to want to try out everything but I also want to give my followers what they expect of me and what I really enjoy doing too - cats, even more cats, and lighthearted, relatable comics."
I found a couple in the fresh bag of litter.
Load More Replies...I saw an episode of Dr. Jeff (a vet in Colorado) where a cat ate hair ties and had to have them surgically removed. Please watch your hair ties.
Had a cat that was a jewelry thief! He stashed it in the box springs of my bed lol. I accused my poor brother of stealing it. Found it when I had to get something under my bed and I could feel something under the film on the bottom of the box springs. Sliced it open, and sure enough, ALL of my missing items and a few of my moms. 😂😂😂
My cat does this. I even found a key in his house once that I still have no clue what it belongs to lol
Load More Replies...I literally, and I mean that, have caught more than one cat I've owned, stealing treasure from a purse. Now it was treasure to them, hairbands, bandaids?????? And once somehow, my tuxedo must have sat in my purse, chewed on my debit card and got lucky in dropping it back in. Because I didn't find out until I went shopping and I dug it out ( not in a wallet) and upon looking at the teefie marks, hear this from the cashier. " Giggle, got a kitty cat huh? " I bought a wallet.
Anytime I leave my purse out it's like my cat just knows and is drawn to it. I've watched him pull the zipper, stick paws in, dig around, and bring out my mini hairbrush, just to chew it and push it around. He never pulls anything else out. He's also obsessed with the full-sized brush I keep in the bathroom. So eventually, when I bought a new mini brush, I gave him the one from my purse. He played with it for a bit, then started digging the new one out of my purse! 😹 I always tell him "you have your own brush now so play with that!" He rarely listens.
Load More Replies...Lol reminds me of the pet tictocs about this 😭HOW MANY ARETHERE!!!!!! ......37 counted them myself
I had a cat "Blackie" who also stole milk rings and some of my earrings.
Where are the hairs that are spread all over the clothes - that every cat owner wears as an accessory?
Yes. We chronically have noseprints on the windows. We have 3 cats and a dog. Occupational hazard for pet owners.
Doesn't happen often, but it's sweet when it does. P1020212-6...0d14d0.jpg
Oh the belly! Believe it or not, all 3 of my cats like having their bellies softly and gently rubbed. First time in a lifetime of living with cats that that has happened. Heavenly.
Our cat has a blanket he drags around the house, we decided to get a pet cube to figure out why our blankets kept getting from our bed to the other rooms of the house... Turns out he bunches it up between both sets of his legs, hold onto it in his mouth and waddles through the house while meowing after we leave for work. Heartbreaking but hilarious to watch on video 😹 He now has his OWN blanket and he knows it's his, and he absolutely hates when it gets washed
Oh, the pretzel cat. Sometimes it just looks like the cat broke. They’re fine, but man, I wish I was that limber.
These were all so CUTE! Heck, now I'm thinking wistfully about the cats we had when I was a kid!
Apart from the fluffy tail, that bluepoint snowshoe cat looks just like our little female.
Every single one of these are just amazing =^.^= lots of talent and very relatable 😻💙🌸🤘
