For over ten years, I have been travelling regularly around the world with my camera. In the process of total immersion in the culture of every region or country I discover, I try to portray the Human in my photographic works. The Human, his thoughts, his convictions, his mystery, his novelty. The Human in portraits, in spontaneous moments, in slices of everyday life, through series of photographs which tend to open a dialogue, arouse emotions and questions. Sit down for a few minutes and savor some of the pure beauty that our world is there to offer us!

    The Blue City of Medina

    The Blue City of Medina

The blue covering the medina of Chefchaouen provides to the different parts of town this dazzling look of purity and freshness under a mountain sun. The medina seems like a huge, winding hall of mirrors. By focusing in these streets of blue and isolation, by penetrating the crystal near its shades of blue, there would even be water dripping onto the soil and roam freely in the streets. Shades of blue are endless. Each building has a different pigmentation from the neighbor.

People are not very smart here. Chefchaoun is in Morocco! MEDINA means old town in Arabic. In Morocco there is a medina in each town.it's the part of a town that was untouched and not modernise.

to correct a small part from your nearly accurate reply, I believe MEDINA in arabic means CITY and in morocco as well, old town in morocco is called mdina kdima.... however, since chefchaoun is all not modernise and is all old buildings and nature that why they refers to it as that, for example in Tanger there is MEDINA which is all modern building and stuff, and there is MEDINA KDIMA, KASBA, LHAFFA, SOK BARRA.... all are in old town PS: I guess it is not about being Smart, it is about knowledge of places, Languages, and cultures!!

Those of you screaming that Medina is in Saudi Arabia should try Googling before spazzing. "Medina" means "old town". Lots of cities have medinas. This is the old town section of Chefchaouen, Morocco, famous for being blue. Unless you think you can demonstrate a section of Medina, Saudi Arabia that is not only all North African architecture painted in cerulean shades, but also allows in non-Muslim Westerners (which Medina does not)? Sheesh.

    Holi Celebrations In Vrindavan, India

Vrindavan is where Lord Krishna grew up. When Krishna was young, he cried to his mother, that he was dark complexioned, but his friend Radha was of fair skin. His mother suggested him to color Radha with colors in a playful manner. - Over the years, Krishna used to go to Radha’s village to color Radha and other Gopis. They also used to playfully beat him with sticks. And hence the tradition evolved.

these are widows celebrating the festival of Holi for what may be the first time since they lost their husbands; orthodox rural society where they live prohibit them to celebrate anything, they aren't allowed to be joyous. They defied tradition this time it seems! Good for them, finally some sense treating people like people.

Yurts are usually set up so the door faces south or southeast. This is in accordance with feng shui laws and meteorology (bad luck and fierce winds usually come from the north or northwest). Members of the yurt household sleep with their heads toward the altar and their feet toward the door. There was no prescribed positioning for different tents in camp, except that the yurt head of the family is situated in the place of honor to the right front of the camp and facing south.

Yurts are oriented with the door facing south, is crossed by the cardinal axes, and the central pillars represent the connection between earth and sky. It is therefore important to respect this very strong and universal symbolism.

The Historic Sanctuary Of Machu Picchu

Embedded within a dramatic landscape at the meeting point between the Peruvian Andes and the Amazon Basin, the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu is among the greatest artistic, architectural and land use achievements anywhere and the most significant tangible legacy of the Inca civilization. Built in the fifteenth century Machu Picchu was abandoned when the Inca Empire was conquered by the Spaniards in the sixteenth century. It was not until 1911 that the archaeological complex was made known to the outside world.
