I Started To Crochet Cute Animals While My Husband Was Deployed To Africa, And Here’s What I Made So Far
I am a military wife, and I started playing around with crochet while my husband was deployed to Africa. A friend asked me to make an amigurumi (stuffed plush toy) and I was hooked!
I make lots of cool things, but amigurumi is still my passion. I have made thousands of the little guys, and it is still magical to see an adorable face appear from a skein of yarn.

They're plastic safety eyes. They're used in dollmaking and such. It's essentially a plastic eye with a post that has a locking washer on the back so the eye stays in place. Sorry for the overly detailed explanation, but making amigurumis is a huge passion of mine and I get excited to talk about it. Lol
Load More Replies...If you download the pic, get a piece of graph paper, count sts and draw onto there as you would read a Xst pattern. Take every square as a USSC or UKDC once you have pattern drawn out. You have a decent pattern like that. Use for Fair Isle, Crochet or Xst.
Hi, when I click the link to try and find the pattern it says it's incorrect. Is there any chance you could possibly reply with one that will bring me to the page you got it from?
I can't remember exactly what this character's name is, so I'll just call them Boat Snack.
Yes, the blue ringed octopus, it is know to be one of the smallest, yet deadliest on earth
Load More Replies...It looks so darn CUDDLY. I just wanna SQUISH IT and BOOP IT and LOVE IT
Awww... I LOVE this! My daughter has christened this one "Ellie" and keeps asking me to make one for her in pink (her current favorite color).
Whatever this critter is, it's adorable! Every one of these knitted critters has real personality! How do you do it? Maybe I'll have to buy one from Etsy. . . .

Load More Replies...It is worse than the rainbow penguin, but better than the black and white penguin
The small family pod is very shy. Only one is ever spotted at a time, and only then very rarely.
Load More Replies...I miss the dots. Looks more like a butterfly. Though it's body is too big for a butterfly. Only with a small body it would have been sooo tiny. But still, whatever it is. Very adorable!

These are quite good. I don't crochet, but I am a knitter and her stitches are very neat and even. She also has a nice sense of color.
You must crochet fast! Nice work. How long does it take you to make one? Do you design them yourself?
For whatever reason knitting and crochet seem to interest me. How do I get started? I mean is there a channel I could start with? A kit I could buy? Again. I don't know why but I have been drawn to trying this, but I am not sure how to Start. I tried asking my mom, but she seems years ahead, and I am confused. Any resource to start would be helpful.
You are so talented! I'm an avid fan of amigurumis and i know firsthand how much time and effort go into making these adorable creatures. All my friends make fun of me because I can crochet the cutest amigurumis, but can't crochet a scarf to save my life. Lol
Jennifer, whenever someone says "crochet", I automatically think of toilet paper cosies and other such old lady crafts. ALWAYS. Even when someone says "Nope, her stuff is really great!" and it's always old lady stuff. NOT YOURS!!!! You've taken crocheting to a WHOLE NUTHA LEVEL! I'd buy every single one of your pieces if I had a use for them. Such amazing quality, creativity and execution. You're extremely talented, Jennifer. Thanks for sharing.
