As the majority of us probably already know, the US has put a ban on the Chinese phone manufacturer Huawei. The main issue with Huawei were fears that it has a close relationship with the Chinese government and that its equipment could be used to spy on other countries as well as companies. Therefore, this May, following an order from none other than Donald Trump, US has effectively banned Huawei from US communications networks. I'm quite sure Google never asked for this ban. It was all Trump. Google might end up losing it's monopoly over this since Huawei is now FORCED to develop a rival operating system.

It is not the same thing at all ... USA didn't ban the use of Huawei in USA but forbid USA compagnies to work with them. So now, it is not possible to get Huawei with android in Europe as example. Why the bans in China are bad, it only affects China and no one else ...

My view point is kind of the opposite. A lot of money, produce and services are exchanged between companies. Sometimes more than between companies and end users. So forbidding a whole country to work with a company not only goes against the idea of a free market and capitalism as a whole, it also costs american companies who will lose business. The bans in China are bad because it's censorship and that is always bad. Doubly so when done by socialists/ communists. It doesn't matter where it's happening. I'm glad it doesn't affect you or me, but it does affect others. I know a lot of people don't consider China to be communist, but I don't think censorship of this level and magnitude is synonymous with democracy or a free country.

Don't worry, the ban is only for new phones. Besides, Huawei will probably create their own OS. With no Google on it, one more reason to buy a Huawei. :D

China does what it does so it's own people will not get access to what they see as counter revolutionary ideals. They don't care what anyone outside of China does (& no, that doesn't make it right). The US does it to promote it's own products, BUT the US lies about this and their excuse is laughable as they do exactly the same. Ergo, more Trump stupidity.

It's about numbers, not places. Chinese bans affect more than 1/5 of the interconnected people on the planet; US bans can be overrode by local laws, globally, even in the US, and would not affect as many people.

He is PURPLE under the fake tan! All that orange bs was a trick. Small wonder he seems a bit off, his masters never intended for him to have any kind of leadership position on this planet but the humans turned out to be too gullible. usa said huawei bridge security on usa with their phones , there's evidence of spying and taking data of americans with those phones. so the government more exactly trump as said to google to not work with huawei and google and derivatives for example Facebook are not going to work with them since google is the main internet search , huawei is obligated to look fro another server and many dont want to risk and huawei ceo is going trough a judgement right now in the usa. do you watch the news???

No proof has yet been presented that Huawei actually spied on anyone or anything. This ban will end up being the US shooting themselves in the foot, I think. It might result in Google losing their monopoly. 10,000 Chinese software engineers are reportedly working on a rival operating system right now.

A lot of these meme are r******d and here is why : 1. The China ban is a whole lot different than the USA one. China banned google usage in their own country while the other ban is forbidding Huawei to work with compagnies. Not the same implication. If China had the same type of ban, a lot of think wouldn't exist like the Pixel phone. 2.Google banned nothing, the US governement did. 3. This ban is bad for the whole world but the orange dumbass is too stupid to realise 4. It isn't either a war Huawei vs Apple. It is US vs China, and US decided to make a stupid move based on nothing but assumptions. As a European, I hope this ban will be lifted soon. Huawei brought a lot of competition in the smartphone world. And for the consumer, that is for the bette r!
