Emma Watson for me she is so kind and sweet and honestly captures the image of my best friend.
I'd cast Hailee Steinfeld. My best friend is my sister...she's hilarious, full of spunk, always cheerful, and up for any adventure. She's also very athletic. I feel like Hailee excels at that type of character. They also look similar (dark hair and eyes, and really pretty but not in a typical "actress" way).
My best friend really is my husband. Multiple people, my mum included have expressed that he is very similar to Gabe from Dear White People in both appearance and behaviour so... I know it is typecasting but I would need to choose John Patrick Amedori for that reason.
Have to be CGI cause no actor could fit into a little grey cat costume....
I think we'd have to mix Carol Burnett and Robin Williams to cover my friend's role. Her emotions and energy levels run from one extreme to the other, but when she's not down, she's a force to be reckoned with. I was thinking maybe Molly Shannon, because of her role in Superstar, but that alone just doesn't cover it. There's a whole lot of confusion and goofball energy most of the time, but when things get serious, it's tragic and dark. I can't think of anything more tragic onscreen than Robin Williams with teary eyes.
