Get your work out there!!!!! Lots of free art sites on the web, and community centers host art shows for free. Find a corner near a busy freeway on-ramp and set up shop. Join art "clubs" that have art shows. County fairs and other local art shows often have low entry fees.

Is this a painting or a 3d picture that was made? If it's a painting, it looks so realistic!! I would give anything to be this talented. It's beautiful, amazing job to the artist.

See my explanation to Sarah: I have used wrapping paper, cards and other pictures I have liked (if I can obtain 5 copies) as each layer has to be cut out and then re-positioned over the main picture to make it look 3 dimentional.

This looks really cool! Will someone tell me what paper tole is?

    Community Member
4 years ago Created by potrace 1.15, written by Peter Selinger 2001-2017

I used to call it 3D, but then read it was called 'paper tole' - you had to have at least 5 copies of the picture you want to work with, and then cut out each layer, and using clear caulking from a small tube, you dab a tiny bit on each leaf or flower petal you cut out and place it over the main picture you have cut out and mounted. You continue to cut out the various parts you need to make it look three dimensional, and work it like that. There are books out to instruct people on how to make these pictures. I taught myself after seeing a various craft shows some beautiful work done with poses and other scenery. It is a relaxing and satisfying hobby.

Is this the same thing as what I found (at the link)? Yours looks MUCH more complicated and possibly freestyle. Fantastic! It looks like the next level paint-by-number in the basic kit here: https://paintwithdiamonds.com/blogs/pwd-insider/what-is-diamond-painting

    Community Member
4 years ago Created by potrace 1.15, written by Peter Selinger 2001-2017

It is not freestyle, it actually is a tapestry pattern I found on Heaven and Earth Designs. I started this hobby using kits I found online but wanted colors and styles that matched my home decor. I found that the larger the pattern the better the detail and it didn’t look “pixelated” if that makes sense.

how do you do diamond paintings? Do those beads just rest on the table or are they secured in place?

    Community Member
4 years ago Created by potrace 1.15, written by Peter Selinger 2001-2017

They are secured in place by a sticky canvas. There are so many kits out there you can start with and they include all the tools you need.. I love detail so once I learned the technique (which is very simple) and completed a few kits for practice I switched over to using cross stitch patterns I really liked. The one in my picture is actually a tapestry pattern I found on Heaven and Earth Designs. You follow a pattern and pick up the little beads using a tool like a pencil with a little wax on the end and place it on the sticky canvas where it belongs. My next one is a massive project. It has 350,000 diamonds and 237 colors (Bountiful Book Shelf from Heaven and Earth Designs) Have fun!

4 years ago Created by potrace 1.15, written by Peter Selinger 2001-2017

Yes I do. They are painted on flagstone so the shipping can get a little pricey. But i have painted larger ones on canvas board for people who wanted a large picture but the shipping would have put it out of their price range had it been painted on stone. I live in Arizona and am painting an Arizona sunset on a piece of flagstone shaped like Arizona.

I'm in the process of getting some stock built up in order to open my Etsy account. So anybody interested in an Arizona Sunset rock please look for me there in about 2 weeks. Sorry I don't have any to offer right now, they go pretty quick. And thank everybody for their kind words and their interest in purchasing these. Every one of these is unique and every one of these mean something special to me as I hope they do to anyone who purchases one. Thank you.

Thank you all so much! I would LOVE to be able to sell them but I'm stuck between a rock & a hard place. COVID has everything stalled. We're waiting on a judgement that will start a 90 day clock to move from FL to MI. The "new" house we bought was fraudulently listed as a Single Family home but the City says it's an Apartment- even though it doesn't actually qualify under their OWN terms! SMH. But BEFORE I can press Fraud & Grand Larceny charges against the Realtor Agents... I have to get my Step-Father into an Alzheimer's Assisted Care facility because I can't take care of him & all of this other stuff & still be creative... I just can't. Hopefully as soon as I get a place for everything & sort everything into place- I hope to be able to create coats, dresses & soo much more from my designs. Again... Thanks So much!

Giovanni Maria Versace was born in the city of Reggio Calabria, Italy on 2 December 1946, and grew up with his elder brother Santo Versace and younger sister Donatella Versace, along with their father and dressmaker mother, Francesca. He was murdered by the son of a real estate magnate whose roots were less than 35 miles from mine. And yes — there was a military correlation. Just not sure which one.

Imagine The World Imagine The World, Imagine It Was Perfect. Imagine All Things In The World, Like The Unknowncean Floors. Imaging All The Things Like That, Imagine It’s All Yours. Would You Make A Life Preserve, Is That What You’ll Do? No, You’d Make A Paradise For Just A Friend And You. God Owns The World, Cause He Alone Is Always Right. And We Don’t Take The Time To Watch Others Day And Night. Think What The World Would Be If We Were Always Nice. Paradise? No. Terror? No. I Think Both At Once. If There Is No Conflict That’s Good As Well As Bad. There Would Be No Punishment, But No One Would Be Sad. If You’re Feeling Sad Or If You Are Alone. Read This Poem Again Or Just Pick Up The Phone. It Might Be A Friend Or Advertisement Or Foe. You Could Make Up, They Could Be Nice, And Now Your Not Alone.

Other reasons that she makes me proud include her intelligence, both academically and emotionally. She is so clever and imaginative, she writes her own stories and songs. She is gentle, thoughtful, caring and generous. She would give you the last of her favourite sweets without a second thought and it would bring her sincere joy to do so. She is confident and outgoing, bright and bubbly and absolutely hilarious! She is nurturing and sweet, silly and ambitious. Sincere and sensitive. She is observant and empathetic, creative, brave and kind...She is always proud of herself and of me and her Daddy and lets us know so every second of every-day. She gives love with all of her little self, all of the time. To me she is perfect.
