Hey Pandas, To Celebrate Black Cat Appreciation Day, Share Some Photos Of Your Feline Friends (Closed)
August 17, in the U.S., is Black Cat Appreciation Day, not to be confused with Black Cat Day which is October 27. Black cats, sadly, are often the last to be adopted due to ridiculously long-held and unfounded superstitions.
Let’s celebrate the black cat today by showing your fellow Pandas a photo of the special cat(s) in your life—black or otherwise. After all, they make our lives gentler and more joyous so it’s only right to celebrate them as often as possible.
Besides, it’s an excuse to look at pictures of cats.

Absolutely. Senshi (the Siamese) was very sick and nearly died. When Merlin arrived her two sisters had just been adopted and she was so lonely it was heartbreaking. When Merlin arrived she "adopted" him very quickly. Now they are not together, but they've been adopted by people who have other cats, and they've found new friends. They are happy, and so am I, although I always miss "my" rescues so much!

Thank-you both. She was my heart. I was her physical support animal. She went with me everywhere as much as possible. I only left her home if i knew I could be back in an hour. Prior to covid she did go to the stores with me, and was always welcome. The picture is of her in her shoulder carrier.. But she really enjoyed riding in the truck with me, and visiting. Also she was a big hit at the farmers market I was attending. Her fans always stopped to say hello.

For background, my cat is very stupid. She likes to eat her own hair so we have to vacuum constantly, hairballs at least twice a week, and will meow as loud as she can at the top of the stairs at three in the morning. But she’sa sweetie pie, as she understands love, pain, and is fine with children. She loves hairball medicine, but not hairball treats, being brushed, will love being pet for hours, likes to attempt to eat plastic, steals tortilla chips and crackers, and cuddling. She’ll purr if you touch her.

Beany is 4 months old. The week before she was born, he momma let herslf in, had some breakfast and hung out for a few hours. I had never even noticed her outside. A few days later, she comes in again. The 3 time shecame in, I heard kittens under my hoosier cabinet.

Of all the many things, systems, arrangeries that can be wrapped in fur, cats are the best by any means. Of all colours the fur said cats are wrapped in, black is one of the beautifullest - just as red, white, grey, brown. Cats just are nice, them all. Of all joy in life I currently am able to experience, the cat makes up more than 50%, singlepawedly. Life without cats is wasted time.
