Once had a child lose his cap off a tooth. Screamed bloody murder until his parents got home. Had a toddler fall and bite her tongue. Blood everywhere! Both back before cell phones and had to call the restaurant to get the parents.
Technically, I wasn't babysitting, but I was visiting my boyfriend at the time. We were in his room drinking tea when his brother's little son stormed into a room. We were watching him constantly and put our cups with boiling hot tea in the middle of the table, so it's out of reach for the baby. But somehow he managed to reach it and spill it all over himself. He was screaming and were all terrified. He had to spend a few days at the hospital because he burnt his arm. I felt so guilty.
When i had to go across the street and babysit some kids somehow they made me give them marshmallows but they just ripped them in half and stuck them on me their mom and dad came home so when i told them their mom and dad said it was normal i am not babysitting ever again
Keep in mine I was 13 at the time, so I was pretty inexperienced. I was babysitting 4 boys from my church, they were 11, 9, 6, and 3. I put on a movie and made some popcorn for the three oldest, and went to go put the youngest to sleep but he wouldn't get out of 6's bed, even when I pulled him off and put him in his crib, he started wailing. I had to rock him and he was almost asleep when I heard a loud THUMP and a scream downstairs. Of course I ran downstairs with the now wide-awake youngest. There was stuff from the fridge all over the floor, and a milk carton had fell and exploded and sprayed milk everywhere. I tried to keep calm to not agitate the kids and asked 11 to go get paper towels, but he went upstairs and watched youtube instead (which his parents told me specifically he wasn't allowed to do) so 9 went and got me paper towels and 9 and 6 helped me clean up while 3 played with his toys about 10 feet away. By the time everything was clean, it was about 9:45 pm, so I went and-
-put 3 in his crib, and he cried for about 10 mins before falling asleep. the parents were supposed to be out for another hour and a half or so, and i came downstairs after 3 fell asleep to 9 calling his mom and telling her i was doing a terrible job. i grabbed the phone and assured her everything was fine, 9 was just being silly. she believed me and after i hung up i scolded 9 about it. He said sorry and he took 6 to watch the movie again. I went upstairs to get 11 off of youtube, and he threw a fit about it but eventually he came downstairs. Then I had about 10 minutes of peace, and then it was 10:15, and the movie ended. 6, 9, and 11 started to fight about what to watch next. I yelled at them and told them that if they couldn't agree, I'd choose, but then they all quieted down and chose a tv show. our yelling woke up 3, so i went upstairs and put him back to sleep, which took about 15 mins. i came back downstairs and the three oldest were fighting again so i told them they were-
