Maybe she didn't tie the top together of it fell apart on that place. If the bands fell apart on other places it can be either that she forgot to hook certain places or the rubber bands had bad quality.

Nice! As you also sew, i suggest to look into sashiko, a sewing teqnique especcialy for reusing worn textiles and embelishing with geometric embroidery.

It look wonderful but i'm the kind of "takatakatak" sewer, i put things in my machine and "takatakatak" and end of it. I just make tablecloth, curtains, very simple and easy and quick things. I hated myself for choosing these type of snap button to close the bag, i took a lot of time, passing through many layers of jeans without breaking my needle and under the solid jewel tag behind( i actually broke 1)! I really really wish I could add a picture to a comment, I know it’s possible but I haven’t figured out how. I make art from various recycled materials, which doesn’t seem that odd except that I don’t like it to look like it’s made from recycling. None of that “bringing awareness” stuff, it’s just cheap materials, and there’s so much variety. Packaging is great.

Since it closed before I could post, I pull out the fluff of the used bath and body works glass scent bottles that you you put into outlets, since they still smell wonderful. Once I get enough to make a small plush I'll knit a tiny cat (out of wool) name him Bb because bath and body works, and fill him with the scented fluff. So basically, good smelling small plushies.

My unusual hobby i guess is making these things i call "pipecleaner birds". I call them that because that is what we called those fuzzy-wire thingies in Australia, i think. Basically they are made out of feathers and the things i call pipecleaners. I have posted afew of them on my Deviantart.
