When my rescue was just a tiny kitten she used to do this every night. Now that she's big and grown, she has (thankfully) moved down to the small of my back or my hip if I'm sleeping on my side. And even now i still try not to stir if she's sleeping on me. We say we own cats but our cats own us ;)

I had one who has since passed away, who used to pet herself with the bristles of one of the spare attachments for our hand vacuum. There's a stand the vacuum sits on that has places on the sides for the attachments, and we'd sometimes hear it bumping repeatedly against the wall as the cat rubbed against the brush.

Our cat was found in a back garden (with his 4 siblings) by friends of ours. Their mommy was sadly hit by a car. They were so little, they didn't even have their eyes open. So we took one and bottle fed him etc. My mom's b***h would take care of him, carry him around and cuddle with him as if he were her own puppy. So our cat is basically a dog and refused to drink out of cat bowls from the start. He only eats and drinks out of the big dog bowls. He is now 17 yo and i am surprised he hasn't startet barking yet.

In Washington my mom bought a wood burning stove like this one which was WAY to big for our house. It was rated to heat a 2500 foot house and ours was just over 1000. anyway, during the winter our cats would walk by and just when they got in front of the glass part of the fireplace they would just fall over. almost like they'd been shot. eventually they would drag themselves away and lay on the linoleum in the bathroom to cool off.

I work in the warranty department of Samsung. In training, we were told a story of an elderly lady who inadvertently washed her daughters cat who was apparently chilling out in their front load washer. Sadly, kitty didn't make it through the ordeal (it was apparently a very gory scene in the end). Moral of this story, please be careful letting kitty nap in the washer/dryer.

It almost happened to me. I transfereed a blanket from the washer to dryer & didn't notice my 3 month old kitten get in. I turned the dryer on & heard nothing wrong. A minute later I heard cat screams & ran outside to make sure he didn't get in the dog pen. No, so & went back in & remembered a very similar story so I checked the dryer. I got him out & he was panting. I freaked out but ran him under cool water until he felt better. I always double checked after but he thankfully never tried to get in again.

Thanks Heather. I really miss that little crazy furball. He was kind of a bad influence on Simba (the darker tabby). Before Buttercup, Simba didn't get into anything. After Buttercup came along, they tore the Christmas tree up, knocked things over. I'm glad they didn't care for the toilet paper. They didn't demolish the house, but they got into stuff left and right. After Buttercup left us, Simba seemed to get over his depression that Buttercup wasn't coming back home and is himself again. 3am gymnastics and lovin all over us. I love both of them. They had so much fun together. They'd chase each other so no one was dominate over the other. Thank God! LOL

If you want to learn about it you can google "raw feeding or BARF".I saved my cat from a shelter, he was obese and very ugly, 6months later with raw food when he want, he is a very healthy and beautifull cat.It is a pleasure to see him eat, whole quails are even back to their natural state, as he make them flying before eating them.^^

okay, i looked it up and this seems like a useful and concise quote: "cats who are sleeping with their face down, this is normal cat behavior. Some cats are just most comfortable like this. When it comes to head pressing, you will see your cat doing this against walls while sitting, and while awake. They will press their head up against something, unrelaxed"

Yeah, we all did. A few days ago the top entry had 124 points and now it has 17. Mine had 58 points and now it has 6 :( I dont know what happened!

People are just posting pictures of cats looking cute. Can't complain, I'm guilty. I just know that when Gus was alive, he was so awesome that it would be a crime not to share him. I guess most people owned by cats feel the same way.
