It was not out of place so we just had to be careful with him and let it heal. It healed faster than the ringworm died. Took months of meds made special by a human pharmacy to get rid of them!

Kitties that live inside live longer. Every cat we had when I was growing up was eventually hit by a car. My sweet old Vera lived to be 19, and Petrushka, the kitty love of my life, lived to be 16-1/2 even though he became diabetic when he was around 10 and then instead of dying grew out of it and lived for another four years. That was 20 years ago and I still miss him—I guess I’ll always have a Petrushka shaped hole in my heart.

Apparently she was having pneumonia and was lethargic . Her lungs were completely white on the xrays. Doctor wanted to put her down, I didn't want to give up and treated her for over six weeks until her lungs cleared up. Unfortunately she lost her voice in the process, but she is still extremely sweet and affectionate.

Both were having Panleukopenia. Tux was the weakest one and lost him after a week. Sammy went through an aggressive treatment coordinated with doctors from Boston, who are treating this disease in high occupancy shelters, and after almost a month he start feeling better. Now he is a big boy at almost four feet in length and close to 16ish pounds😁

I had one of those. His name was Petrushka and he was the kitty love of my life. In his prime he weighed 16 pounds and was sleek as anything. He even got diabetes and then outlived it. He was amazing.

[Murphy beds, for those who are unfamiliar with the term, are beds that were build into a small closet so that you could fold it up during the day and have full use of the room, and then at night you’d open the closet and the bed would unfold. San Francisco, where I spent most of my life, has/had lots of them, so you’d end up with an amazing walk-in closet. One place I looked at even still had the bed!]
