I would happily pay for this to be put in every country with high amounts of stays x
true that, my piggie got depression when his friend died, so now wants to be hed and petted more often
My cats bring me dead mice and pigeons. Sometimes they bring fishbones they gather from neighbours :)
My cat used to bring home sausages, bits of left over lamb on the bone and broccoli from somewhere.
Load More Replies...lol in all fairness, I am a crappy cat that can't survive on its own.
Innacurate. Those are gifts. You feed them, so they know you're not a crappy cat.
Exactly. They depend on us for food, they know we are the masters of food. This is just faulty logic. My cat brings me live mice, so I can have fun too. It's just a gesture of friendship.
Load More Replies...My cat brought me a LIVE snake once. She put it in my bed, what am I supposed to think?
She's pissed at you for something... ;b
Load More Replies...Another way to look at it is that cats are colony animals, and they share food within the colony. If they have food, and they're not starving so much that they need it all themselves, they'll share it with their colony mates, which you are. So it's not that you're a crappy cat so much as a cat that is off doing their own thing. And if you feed them, you're clearly doing your part, too, so it's just fair.
not entirely true but whatever. mine brought me a not quite dead bird one day. he dropped it at my usual seat but a visiting friend was sitting there. he freaked! it was hilarious.
Is that why they shed everywhere too? They're just worried I don't have enough fur???? :-)
Well my cat brings them in alive, so I guess she thinks there is still hope for me yet.
She's trying to teach you how to hunt :)) #fishermanstory
Load More Replies...No they don't... They bring stuff to trade for the yummy stuff in the can they can't open. My white fluff ball prefers rats almost as big as her. I think she want me to make a coat of rat skins. Somehow she only leaves the empty skins on the doorstep. What I don't understand is how a solid white cat sneaks up on all these huge rats.
My cat brings me hairbands all the time, I am a crappy cat who can't get my own hairbands! 😀😂😘🐱
I heard they bring'em to show us humans what they really want. Not all that dry boring food.
That's nog true..as they bring in the mouse but follow me to the kitchen to demand to be fed 😂
Wrong: they see us eating all the time, they know we can "hunt". It's a present out of friendship, an amazingly complex social behaviour
There's a stray cat in our neighborhood that considers my porch his home. I feed him with scraps and sometimes dry food my kitten refuses to eat. He brought me a dead mice once. So sweet.
It's more like 'Hey, I noticed you never seem to eviscerate anything for fun. Do you even know how? Here's a practice target, you should learn this.'
Because we asked the cats, and they told us...? Truthfully, we can only infer that this is the reason...there is no way to know, with absolute certainty.
My cat brings me his toy mouse, but I do believe he wants me to eat it, and every time I just have to be like: "Sorry, but..."
I had a cat that came only with earthworms. Every time it would rain I got so many worms. Good for him that he could feel that he Washington better hunter than me.
You could have left out the part about them thinking I'm a crappy cat!
I feed my cat 4 years and he thinks I can't survive. So someone who wrote this is r******d, or my cat.
I've got a dedicated barn mamma cat, who feels it's her job to teach the other cats to be self sufficient. She has managed to to this with all my out door cats but one!! lol, he just refuses to partake of her instructions, 😂
Our oldest cat brings us dead thing all the time. We are crappy hunters
I thought they were proud of themselves and now I discover that I am a crappy cat 😀😂
It's not a gift, your cat is showing you that you suck at hunting. Change up the food.
Scientific tests also showed that they stress out when separated. They believe that by reducing the stress they will raise their milk yield. But considering cows are herd animals, this isn't really surprising.
Poor thing, it looks cute but in the end they are just held just to amuse humans...
Thats amazing. Nowadays people get pissed off if you say "Merry Christmas" instead of "Happy Holidays" smh
Eastern screech owls keep texas blimd snakes around their nests to get rid of pests, so yes this one is indeee very true!
She's such a beautiful and strong person! She exemplifies what inner beauty truly means, and it radiates outwardly!
I do something similar every morning when my alarm goes off, and I make my way to the shower
Its because in folklore unicorns are the slayers of lions. lions are the national animal of England
Many prisons in the US have a program that has select inmates train shelter dogs, some for specific tasks such as disability service dogs. Marked improvement in inmate behavior and outlook have been noted in these programs and, of course, it improves the lives of the dogs involved.
Greyhounds As Pets NSW have a similar program at a women's correctional facility here in Sydney. The inmates help prepare ex-racing greys for life as a pet, teaching them things like how to go up & down stairs, basic obedience, etc. It's great for the dogs, as well as the inmates who can even earn a government-recognised certificate. (Our foster grey participated in this!) :)
In France, the actors who voice Homer and Marge Simpsons are married too : )
I did had no idea about keeping pairs of guinea pigs. I was going on the hamster rule that they fight if they are together. Rest In Peace sweet Coco, I am sorry I did not know. You were so smart. You learned to sqeak when I opened the fridge door so you got a healthy treat.
My boy never made a sound when I pet or fed him during his initial lonely days with me. He became so vocal when I found him a gf. Now he sings, squeaks and hums every few minutes.
Load More Replies...Wow very interesting Who knew. Love the fact about animals and also about honey! One comment made me laugh out looooooud!
I think this is the happiest 'did you know' collection I have seen in a long time! Thank you for making my day! <3
No offense to anyone, but I listened to the whole "Weightless" by Marconi Union. I am not impressed. I've listened to far more superior ambient sounds: Vangelis, 2002, Secret Garden, Tangerine Dream, Steve Roach, Kitaro, Steven Severin... just to name a few. That "fact" might sound like "wow" to people unfamiliar with ambient music, but I am certain it's just propaganda.
I agree. I didn't find it relaxing at all. If anything, I found it annoying and ironically stressful.

We has twin kittens to make sure they always had company while we worked. We don’t like being alone, most animals don’t either. Imagine. :/
Never mind singleton Guinea Pigs, I had no idea there was a 'Queen of England'...on behalf of the other three nations of these islands, American media personnel, crack a book sometime- BRITAIN IS NOT CALLED ENGLAND!!! The title of King/Queen of England has not existed since 1707!
Thank you for understanding Shiraz Qaddoumi. I guess we all need to, (or maybe not all), do more research before purchasing any animal. Whatever the size, breed, etc. I actually did read up about guinea pigs prior & post purchase. Nothing I read mentioned the importance of keeping pairs. This is not meant as an excuse, but this is going back 14 years ago.
