This Hairstylist Shows How A Good Haircut Transforms People And These 30 Pics Prove It
Jayne Matthews is a talented hairdresser with a knack for the retro styles of the 1960s and 1970s. Her transformative skills take clients on a journey from contemporary looks to vintage-inspired hippie vibes. A signature touch in Jayne's creations is the inclusion of bangs; they are a consistent feature in all her hairstyles.
For instance, one of her recent masterpieces showcases a woman with sleek, long black hair, accented by sharp and defined bangs. This look captures a timeless elegance, reminiscent of classic '60s fashion. In stark contrast, yet equally captivating, is another client with pink hair and a playful and edgy cut with wispy bangs, radiating '70s free spirit. These image examples not only spotlight Jayne's skillset but also her commitment to reviving the iconic aesthetics of past decades, with bangs taking center stage in every transformation.

The before looks better to me. And how is this post about transforming someone's look with a haircut when they're already attractive.
Much much better. People with pronounced foreheads look so much proportionate with a fringe.
Guys I’m just covering up a mean comment. I think all of these hairstyles look awesome and the last thing we need is more negative energy in BP.
I thought she got some stains or spilled something on her top. Those are tears. Wha???
This stylist does the same cut on everyone - very Joan Jett.
Cute, but the after picture looks like she's hiding a pointy head...secret unicorn?!
I've had these hair cuts before. They're a b***h to style every morning. Not for people who like to just brush and go. You need sculpting cream, round brushes, hairspray, possibly a light gel, a hair dryer with a diffuser.
She didn’t need a whole haircut, she needed hair care lessons and the right products.
Note: this post originally had 61 images. It’s been shortened to the top 30 images based on user votes.
Bangs for you! Bangs for You! Everyone gets bangs! and then some poof and bad combing. This was terrible.
Let's get those experts to work on real people. Choose random 60+, plus size, women. Those of us who don't have the time, patience, or skills to do anything with their hair other than wash it, brush it, and go. No products, no blow dryers or any other electric styling aids.
Haircuts aside, I REALLY like the photography, makeup, model selection and everything else. But I love bangs too.
Any photographers here who can answer this? I think these are nice of course but it seems like they took a wide lens pic for the first one, mostly without makeup and straight at the camera. Then the "after" has make up and then a tighter lens with them posing?
I feel like this was one big snow job. Both the women who were told they'd have new and exciting cuts, and the readers of the article. Aside from the fancy makeup in the after pics, many of the after pics also made it seem like the new styles were fuller. But if you look at the photos more closely, you see that all that fullness is achieved by bringing hair from the back and arranging it on top of their heads and around their faces. That's great for a photo shoot I guess. Not for real life. All that fullness will disappear when they open the door and a breeze blows, and they are walking to the bus, etc.
Ist's basically the same hairstyle in various lenghts. A messy mullet, as someone else mentioned. It's modern, edgy and interesting. But I wouldn't call it especially beautiful. However, you do you.
I’m afraid to say that I’ve seen a garbage disposal give a better haircut.
cant believe "s****y hairdresser" got a post on bored panda and i wasted time looking at it
Those are terrible haircuts. They all look like they just rolled out of bed after not washing their hair for a month. Only women with curls looked presentable, but that's not the stylist's achievement.
Lesson #1: I like bangs, I guess. Lesson #2: Bangs would get REALLY boring quickly if EVERYONE gets bangs.
Hmmm...it seems to me that most of the women have 'Elizabethan foreheads' and she gave them a fringe, and most of the long haircuts are the same updated mulletty type style.
*a good haircut and nicer camera work* Most of these 'After' photos are taken from more flattering angles, more zoomed in or using a better looking depth of field. But at least they're not with more make up, more flattering clothes and much better lighting, like often in those comparison shots. But still, if you're truly convinced your hair cut makes someone look so much better, you wouldn't need all those other tricks to make someone look better in the 'After' photo, you would just rely on the haircut itself instead of needing to trick us. I do like the new haircuts by the way, they do really look great.
So this hairstylist gives them bangs. Got it. And if someone already has bangs, they give them shorter hair and messier bangs. Got it. Still waiting for the promised "transformation". Unless it's transforming people into having bangs, then I think that happened. This looks like someone who knows how to do 2 hairstyles.
I learned 2 things. 1) A beautiful woman can pull off any hairdo. 2) If you have a big forehead get bangs.
This shows that mullets, wolf cuts, and asymmetrical choppy do's make almost everyone look older and less attractive.
Did you forget to mention, '...a more flattering camera angle and make-up'
I'll be the first to say it: Regardless of what people think, I like bangs on a girl. I know it's a nightmare to maintain but I'll be damned if I said I wouldn't do a double take on a woman with bangs <3
So sad. Most of the after pictures are uglier hairdos than the befores. Reminds me of my only experience with a so called professional makeover team. I cannot believe anyone is honestly happy with their interventions. Spent the afternoon crying about the absolute disaster they so proudly presented as the ‘new me’’. Luckily hair grows and a few months later it was long enough again so I went to a competent hairdresser who till today still is the only professional I trust with me hair.
So, she basically just gave everyone a shorter cut and bangs?
Bangs. She gave everyone bangs and did the messy thinning thing. Not sure how liveable they'll be.
Bangs for you!! And bangs for YOU! Bangs for EVERYONE!!!! All they did was cut their hair shorter and give them bangs. For those who already had short hair, just made it messier (and made sure they had bangs!). Nope.
I don't know who did all these nasty cuts, but they need sharper scissors and need to step away from other people's hair. These are probably the worst haircuts I've seen.
Unpopular opinion but I loved these cuts. I do not find longer hair attractive or flattering for most faces.
Maybe I'm crazy but in each case the hairdo on the left looks so much better to me...
Let this be a warning, if you go to this stylist you will end up with bangs
I cut my own bangs and hair…. With kitchen scissors 😂And this thread made me feel like I’m pretty good at it haha. What is with the misshapen bangs and mullets. I just hope that the women who went to this stylist knew what their forte is and what to expect.
So, the hairdresser gave fringes to almost everyone. Well cut fringes looks good on almost everyone, but is very hard to maintain. Also, it doesn't look the same after a few head baths
I didn’t know that a haircut included lipstick, mascara, and eyeliner
The word "bangs" does not mean "haircut" where I come from. It means boobs.
So many of these are so bad I genuinely can't tell which is the before and which is after.
50 pictures of what people look like before and after they get bangs.
