Hair braids are a true classic. This hairstyle has always been there for us and it seems like it's not planning to go out of style anytime soon. The oldest known reproduction of hair braiding is in fact on the head of the well-known Venus of Willendorf herself—the figurine that was made about 30,000 years ago. Hair braiding is traditionally called a social art—since it's usually not that short of a process to do a braid, it makes people socialize and bond. Besides, older generations teach their kids to do braids, so it's basically a tradition that's being carried from one generation to another. Truly a classic.

But now let's get back to the present times. Elvira Jonsson is a 26-year-old woman with an obsession for hair braiding. And even though hair braiding is a classic, this girl totally reinvented the whole thing. Seriously. Each braided hairstyle she creates looks like a stunning masterpiece that you could easily picture on a Disney movie princess. Elvira has an Instagram account called @inspobyelvirall that now has more than 37,000 followers and her feed is full of mesmerizing pieces of art.

The only unfortunate thing about all of this is that, sadly, these pieces are all temporary... But then again, all the best things in life are. And you can always take a picture and make a moment last forever, right?

We invite you to look through the gallery of our favorite @inspobyelvirall's braided hairstyles! By the way—Bored Panda had a chance to ask Elvira some interesting questions, so make sure to scroll down for a full interview.

"I braided a lot when I was in school as a hobby but I didn’t start my Instagram until 2014 and that's when I really got into doing different types of braids and hairstyles! I had a blog at the time and posted a lot of different content on Instagram but once I started to post my hairstyles on my Instagram I started to get a lot of recognition and I really fell in love with the creativity of doing different braids and hairstyles!" says the artist.

"I love the creativity of it, that you can create so many different styles just by doing different types of braids! It started out just as a hobby but has grown to be a part time job! I’m a full time student right now so I’m very lucky that I can call my biggest hobby my part time job!" Elvira told Bored Panda.

When asked if there's anything Elvira doesn't like about the braiding process, she told us this: "To be honest, braiding long hair kills my arms sometimes, haha! But other than that there isn’t really anything that I don’t like about the braiding process!"

"In the beginning, it was easy to come up with different hairstyles but now that I’ve done a lot of the basic ones it can definitely sometime be tricky to come up with a new style! What I usually do is that I start off by doing a basic hairdo, like a simple braid, and then I try new things to make it unique!" says Elvira, the queen of braids.

When asked, what, in her opinion, got her account so popular, Elvira told us this: "I think people might like the ”boho/fairy-like” style of the pictures. I don’t just focus on the hairstyle, I also put time into what kind of clothes I’m wearing to complement the hairstyle and the background as well as the lighting."

"I just want to add that I really love that my followers are so engaging, their ideas makes me more creative and I always try to make tutorials that they request. So make sure to let me know if you, my followers, want to see a specific hairstyle and I will do my best to make a tutorial!" says Elvira.
