Does the Loch Ness Monster really exist? What happened to the crew of Mary Celeste? And what are guys up to when they're taking long showers? While we might never find out the answers to the first two mysteries, the latter has just been revealed. Together with a bunch of other men secrets most girls probably have no clue about. Recently, someone on reddit asked "What Are Some 'Guy Secrets' Girls Don't Know About?" and it got funnier and funnier with every answer. Amassing over 80K upvotes in just a few days, this post has become sort of like a diary of the 21st century man, and you couldn't make this stuff up. No need to explain this one to me, as I do the same. But, guys, hear us out, the reason we insist you tell us is because we want the fun too. Just this. And we're kinda pissed (someone to a bigger, others to a lesser extent) because we feel left out - not because we want you to obsess with us - but because we just wanna be part of that fun too. It would make no difference whether you're my husband, my brother, my colleague, a friend etc. It's purely about the being included in the fun.

Ok so guys.... Just info back..... When this happens we think you're laughing about or at us. If you just tell us what you're laughing about...? As if someone with boobs can't enjoy a silly joke....

If they're fighting over him not saying it, then his wife is probably the type who wouldn't believe him if he actually said it.

Great but you could have just told her about it. It is men who make women think that they are hiding something.

Plus they would have to craft a new dashboard so the T-rex could reach the controls...Silly T-rex

You couldn't even say "I remembered a joke" or "I thought of something funny"? You went with the suspicious "Don't worry about it?"

If you are thinking about a t-rex flying a fighter jet, and you don't tell me, I'm going to be pissed. I will laugh at it, too. Then help you expand on it, then before the end of the day, we would already a script outline and well on our way to making this thing a reality.

Lise Personne

If my bae was laughing because of exactly this and refused to tell me, and later I found out what it was about, boy would I be pissed. When something's funny, you have to share it, you cheapskate.

Gracie Mae

so why not just tell her that?! not that it's something to argue about, but i'd have laughed my ass off as well if i heard something like this. likewise, i've been in similar situations, being the one thinking something silly or remembering something like this & told the inquiring person. i laughed, they laughed, it was a good time

I would think that some of the 21.8k points were women who laughed at the thought of a t-rex flying a fighter jet on a cool folder!

The one above this is 'oh tell us what you want' then in this you say 'I'm not telling you what I am thinking about' Double standard. And yes I know the post above is not you. But to me this is typical of the bullshit men and woman say about eachother. You are a mystery to us as much as we are to you. Communicate and be a couple. This pitting eachother again eachother is why you're now having a bullshit argument with your wife ya fool

Excellent point. I kinda think the dude is just passive-aggressive in taunting his wife into thinking he's got something more interesting on his mind. Which is the equivalent of being a jack@$$.

OMG TELL HER.

AlanandLeila Hoyt
Community Member

Yeah, why didn't you just share that with her to begin with? Of course she thinks you are hiding something...because you are! She has absolutely no way of knowing if it's innocent or not, but typically their is no reason to hide something from a spouse, unless it's bad or a surprise (which obviously you share later). You are creating drama for no reason (you say it's her, but really it's you for not telling her, and she is reasonably concerned). Please, just tell her. It is only natural to assume that what you don't share is bad.

Mark À Irvine

You know what? Just tell her about T-Rex. Women dream about weird stuff too. If you two start sharing your dreams, pretty soon you'll both realize that oftener than not they are just stupid. No harm, no foul. If you ARE dreaming something that you're pretty sure will freak her out, either tell her and talk through it (if you dare) or just say something like "I was dreaming about that stupid T-Rex again ... this time he was dating Heidi Klum (my personal favorite, TBH) and driving an aircraft carrier. More than half the time when my wife starts telling me about her dreams, I discovery that she's talking about something that has absolutely nothing to do with me or even her - it's just some random thing. If you've REALLY got issues with your dreams, go see a therapist, who can maybe figure out what's going on. My experience is that dreams are just the brain "defragging" itself, the way you defrag your computer (you DO defrag it sometimes, right?).

My father CAN NOT STAND to be left out. If you laugh and don't tell him what you just read, or saw or thought, he gets upset. Sadly, I think this is a leftover from his childhood, when his mother thought all laughter was suspicious.

Would you share it with a friend? You are hiding something, not that anyone has to share every little thought that comes into their head, but if you would tell a friend why you were laughing if they asked, you are shutting her out.

my mind works a bit like that. when i'm bored, or just want to "switch attention channel", i play things in my head- jokes i read, funny scenes i saw on YT, or sometimes just play asociation game with myself- one thing leads to another, like we're talking about lights in the living room, i imagine them as headlights on car, go to dumb and dumber, when Jim Carrey saw those headlights, go to when jim played Black swan on SNL, go to SNL's Casablanca, when what's-her-name was overacting- NOOO Richard NOOOO, and then i start laughing(or i laugh along the way)... and it is just impossible to explain to him, how from debate about the living room lights i got in under 10 seconds to McKinnon(just googled her name) shouting NOOOOOO...
