Renowned for his work in The New Yorker and his beloved Bliss series, Harry Bliss possesses a remarkable gift for transforming everyday moments into something truly special. With his distinctive style and sharp wit, he has touched the hearts of millions worldwide.
Unlike many cartoonists who focus on current events, Harry is drawn to the timeless—the quiet, familiar scenes that evoke warmth and nostalgia. For him, drawing is more than a profession; it is a sanctuary, a meditative practice that brings him solace while bringing laughter to others.
Whether capturing the unwavering devotion of a dog, the tranquility of a landscape, or the humor in life’s small absurdities, his art gently reminds us to pause, smile, and savor life’s simple joys.

I got into the (not always appropriate - depending on location and company) habit of saying, as I rise up out of my seat that is surrounded by fur babes, "Mom's just gotta go wee." in hopes that knowing I will be right back (not going to bed etc), they won't follow me in a parade to my small bathroom. Now I find myself apologizing and explaining to my coworkers and friends, when we aren't at my home and my dogs are, exactly why I thought they needed to be told of my bathroom habits.
That's me and my cat at New years. Also will be the same on my 60th birthday in a week's time , me alone with my cat
I believe that's what my poor little scared of everything fur baby would do😄
Hmmm... Talk to the current President, or have a Colonoscopy? Decisions, decisions... Where's that prep solution?
This could be a Charles Addams cartoon. And I mean that as a compliment.
He might for the same time tomorrow if he keeps going.
For those not in the know, Edward Gorey was an American writer and artist with a 'doodle' style of cartooning. You may have seen his stuff on the title animation for PBS's 'Mysteries' series. Edward-Gor...50c2cb.jpg
Dang, not even the Grim Reaper can escape Home Depot without spending a hundred bucks.
... Where was all this caring and concern when the rest of you were *causing* poor Charlie Brown's problems?

Don't look at ME for sympathy! I still remember what you and 80 or 90 of your closest friends did to our fields of oats, corn, and wheat! Reminds me - I need to defrost some frozen venison for Sloppy Joes.
I think these were great! So nice to start the day with a laugh. Thank you.
