30 Times Restaurants Left Hilarious Replies Under Bad Reviews, Shared By This Instagram Page (New Pics)
For your local takeaway, one bad review can break them in the competitive eatery game. And with so many people now voicing their thoughts out loud online, both good and not-so, it’s only fair that the amount of reviews is rising faster than ever.
And while some customers genuinely express their dissatisfaction by writing bad reviews, others use it for entirely different purposes. Like, being asked to show their vaccination pass. No wonder owners are getting more creative in their ways of handling such bad reviews. And their clapback responses are on a whole new level!
So thanks to the Instagram page “Takeaway Trauma” that’s dedicated entirely to such cases, below waits a solid collection of bad reviews and the badass responses to them. Upvote your faves and be sure to check out part 1 of this post!

We reached out to the creator of Takeaway Trauma to find out more about how the page has evolved since we last featured it on Bored Panda six months ago. “Since we last spoke, the page was actually featured on national television, which was pretty cool. It was shown on The Jonathan Ross Show on BBC,” they told us and added: “I didn’t even realize they were airing it, they just did, and then someone just messaged the account telling me they saw it!”
Moreover, in terms of growth, “I’ve definitely seen a big increase in audience, especially since the TV show. People seem to be more and more involved in the humor, it’s almost like we have our own little community, which is exciting.” The creator said that they've also started posting a lot more photographs of bad takeaways, “which people seem to find pretty entertaining but gross at the same time!”
Influenza abuses the internet because she didn't get free stuff. They should send her a Golden Raspberry Award instead of a Bafta.
Claiming to be a NHS-doctor and feeling entitled to extras doesn't make Deeya look good.
When asked whether business owners are getting more savage and creative with their responses to bad reviews, the creator behind Takeaway Trauma said that this is definitely the case. “I do see some really savage replies by business owners, some are so rude that I can’t actually post them as it’s pretty offensive—that’s how bad it's got!”
Moreover, there has been a definite surge in reviews where pizzas have been messed up in delivery. “It seems that the Neapolitan-style pizzas with the thin base seem to always fold over, or toppings fall off. It’s quite funny but at the same quite frustrating for the customer!”
“Funnily enough, one thing I have learnt is that most people only really write reviews if it’s really bad or really good—rarely in between,” the author of Takeaway Trauma told us. “I think sometimes people are so annoyed and angry that in the heat of the moment after just receiving their ‘bad food,’ they go on to the internet and type everything they are thinking about right there and then,” they concluded.
When asked about the future of Takeaway Trauma, the creator said that they have been toying with the idea of creating some merchandise and added that “it has to be done right.” They assured me they have so many ideas they’d like to do with the page, but for now they've decided to keep it on the down low until it’s 100% finalized. “For now I’m going to keep on curating content and posting funny reviews!”
They are getting more food. Cheaper. And then COMPLAINING ABOUT IT!!! The f**k is wrong with people.
Sounds like they tried to call Georgia for over an hour and she didn't respond. I'm not surprised the driver was irritated - I can only imagine his frustration. Sounds like she didn't even offer a 'sorry my phone was dead/on silent/etc and put the blame squarely on the driver. Hmm.
I just had a good idea, restaurants can leave reviews for how well the customer behaved, Upvote if you believ this should be a thing and reply with Karma

i've never understood this Unless the driver is activly rude to you, why do you care if they are smily and bubbly? Just take the food, say thanks, and close the door.

Surprisingly, insulting your clients is not the best marketing strategy.
Do people suddenly lose all capacity to spell and punctuate when writing reviews?
Often people are angry and reactive. Sometimes when you are feeling highly emotional, even if over something 'small,' it can make your senses and writing ability lapse. It does NOT mean the reviewers are unable to spell or punctuate. It can often mean they were so frustrated or angry that correct spelling was beyond them at that time. ALSO... English is not every persons first language. So get off your bloody high horse. I can guarantee, with 100 percent surety, that you made sure your comment was correctly spelt before you posted it... just to make sure you didn't misspell a word or accidentally misplace a letter. Don't be a pretentious arsehole.

A lot of these replies to customers are worse than than review itself. I would never patronize a place that attacks a review. It's childish and bad for business, not to mention ego driven.
some of these people are leaving their opinions on the food-i don't understand why they need to be insulted.
My 20-something kid worked as night manager for a Taco Bell in Texas and says the absolute worst part of the job was low-life people trying to scam them out of free food.
Please! Some of these complaints are petty and nasty... BUT it seems to me that we cannot tell if they are true complaints or not. If the service and food were crap then they have every right to complain. A lot of these restaurant responses seem just bitchy and reactive to legitimate concerns. I think a lot of these restaurants responded poorly. What if the food or service was awful?! And knowing how they responded I would NOT attend their premises. There is a difference between replying to an idiot review and a legitimate complaint... however poorly worded. I normally love this kind of thread but this one seems off.
