It’s time to take a break and get a nice dose of entertainment. We’re happy to have you covered today and to present you with a comic series featured on Bored Panda for the first time.
‘Dustinteractive Comics’ by the illustrator Dustin Rogers is loaded with good humor, unexpected twists, and surprising endings. The author of the series told us more about his journey into the world of comic art: “I am a UX designer by profession, and surprisingly, this job involves a significant amount of storytelling. We craft ‘user stories,’ essentially storyboarding exercises to demonstrate how people will interact with designs.
Over the years, this evolved into a passion, and I began enhancing these skills. Storyboarding became my preferred method of communicating ideas. I remember it feeling like a superpower. It led to promising ideas, which went from sketches to internet posts, then viral Reddit content, and ultimately became a lucrative career in comic making. It was a dream come true.”

Asked to describe his artistic style and the themes Dustin often explores in his comics, he said: “Before my current role in fin-tech, I worked as the UX lead on a CRM system for major companies like McDonald’s, Ford Motors, and Domino’s Pizza. Consumerism intrigued me, becoming a prominent theme in my comic work. This led me to become fascinated with other human behavior and I started observing silly aspects of married life among my friends. Things like this provided abundant material for my ‘Playing House’ and ‘Ethan the Vegan’ series.

I feel this too much. HEB remodeled one store and made it bigger. They had to make maps because nobody could find anything. Plus it doesn't make any sense where anything is. You end up walking the store 3 times just to get regular groceries.

We were wondering what Rogers’ creative process looks like and what tools, software, or techniques the artist typically uses when creating his comics. The author of the ‘Dustinteractive Comics’ series told us: “I always begin by sketching everything by hand, a practice ingrained in me from art school. Despite experimenting with digital tools like tablets and iPads, I found the traditional method of sketching on newsprint and then photographing and vectoring in Illustrator to be most efficient. While many of my creative friends disagree, I've become very adept at digitizing physical work with a mouse, surpassing the speed of any stylus. Creating 3 comics a week on top of a full-time software design job was extremely challenging. Efficiency became important in my creative process and I stuck with the process that worked the best for me at the time.”

Lol before my husband and I married, he had cats. When he and I broke up the first time he kept the cats (they were his). When I came to get my stuff after a month, one of the cats was so mad at me that she sat with her back to me just out of reach. Lol it was hilarious. She got so attached to me that she actually sat at the window and watched for me every day for that month. He and I got back together, and I kept the cats with me lol. She is still super clingy but now she has a mini in my 5 yo daughter that she adores too.

Seeing his ability to tell captivating stories and make a substantial impact on the world fascinated me. He was also brilliant at marketing. His success in monetizing his work also influenced me, as he pioneered ways for comic artists to sustain themselves independently.”

When I was a teen, my friend's dad saw me cutting one of those and laughed. Said it was pointless, because it was a problem that could only be solved on a societal level, not an individual one. I agreed with him, but pointed out that society wasn't solving it. I still cut them up today. Thanks society.

Sounds about right. Maternity leave here is a joke. I had 12 weeks onky bc I had a C-section, otherwise it's 8-10. That isn't paid, by the way, only if you've saved that much time up do you get paid. Plus, you still have to pay insurance monthly when your off.

I am working on a card game set for release in early 2024. This four-year project aims to captivate my audience and showcase the style and humor of my original work, while offering a new flair on what’s to come. frist, I don ´ t get what the problem is. sure first aid videos and stuff like that are really stupid ,but you guys are complaining about every video. It's either we deal with the ads or we have to have a monthly pay like Netflix. also any ad around 15 seconds or over is skippable in 5 seconds. second, why are you youtubing how to defuse a bomb anyway its going to take 40 seconds for the intro.

If you want children, really prepare for anything (for them to have cancer, autism, psychopathy, etc). If you don't want kids, you don't need to have any. You're an adult when you take care of your own responsibilities. If someone wants to add a baby to that list of theirs, that's their choice. Doesn't make you any less than them.

Having raised a child, this is kinda b******t. I mean, if it was a special needs child, or she had three kids, and her husband died, maybe. But one kid? You can travel with one kid, babysitters are a thing, and kids sleep at night and take naps during they day. Daycare is also a thing.

Not a humble brag, but my first was The Hobbit. Parents read it to me all the time, so I figured it out. Teachers didn't believe me. Still have the green, leather, gold leaf edition with the worst little kid handwriting inside the cover.

Nothing worse than teachrs who can't believe you read an entire book in the afternoon. Very upsetting. She sent me back home with it and called me a silly little girl. My mother opened it towards the end asked me a random question which I answered, then she had a little word with the teacher the following day. The policeman's name was Theophilus Goon.

My first one was so long ago; I think I started on chapter books around 4-5. It might've been one of my mom's Anne McCaffrey or my sister's Andre Norton. I do remember reading Anne of Green Gables not too long after - the series has been my favorite ever since.

Hatchet is the second best book on earth! (Where The Red Fern Grows is #1) I absolutely adore the Hatchet series. They are so cool. I had to read the first book for school and I liked it so much I asked for the rest for Christmas.

It's not the current NFL players I am upset about. It's the kids and young adults being encouraged to play a "game" that almost certainly will result in some permanent (if somewhat invisible) injuries later in life so they can have a slice of the fame and popularity that the USA has put on this ultimately meaningless display of toxic hypermasculinity. I say this from the inside: I played for two years in high school and saw a friend get seriously injured, and looking back I am 100% sure that every person on that team got at least one untreated concussion a year. I also saw the culture promoted by the sport first hand, and now that I have my own kids, the whole thing feels especially horrific.

I got kinda spooked when they called the Moderna one "perfectly safe and tested," and then like 2 months later young, healthy people were getting myocarditis. I am kinda in the age range where that would be a concern for me, so I didn't want that one. I also didn't want Pfizer because of how many boosters were coming out per year, and the evidence that Fauci was getting more money the worse the problems got. Also, now the government and scientists are saying it doesn't matter that much.
