Just a year after the hotly anticipated release of the iPhone 7, Apple came forward yesterday to reveal the bold new iPhone X. Hours later, the Internet buried it under a concrete slab of memes. Isn't that what we do best?
The sleek, all-screen device is being lauded by tech blogs for its seemingly groundbreaking features - most notably advanced facial recognition software, which will act as the phone's security in lieu of passwords, and allow users to turn themselves into animated emoji. Those same innovations, however, have turned out to be exactly what people on Twitter are having a field day over, as well as the phone's exorbitant price of $999.
These iPhone X jokes are pure gold, and you have to keep scrolling until you've seen them all. You're either going to be rolling on the floor laughing at everything Apple-related, or discreetly heading to their website to grab your own 'X' by the end.

Every 2 years I get to choose a new phone when extending my subscription/phone plan (whatever it's called). But I always ask them for the older models :P Don't have to pay much extra that way and I still get a good phone. :P Still got an Iphone SE now. (Newest models are overpriced anyway imo)

I despise Apple and Steve Jobs since his outsourcing jobs to labor camps in China lead to unemployment in the US and many workers suicides in China, only to produce yet another phone and pollute more...greedy and unnecessary...what is this thing of getting a new phone when the old one is working perfectly well? .... and apple registering always in offshore countries like Lichtenstein where they pay no taxes and do not contribute to the society whatsoever...

apple and their crazes i just don't get. you are over paying for older technology that doesn't even do anything new or interesting. literally its all been done before and there are apps already out FOR FREE. and apple does everything they can to make sure no one but them can fix your devices. its disgustingly greedy.

The note 8 was shown to have very difficult teardown, no different than Apple. Yeah yeah yeah androids done it all before, then why are their best phones with more ram etc not hitting the benchmarks single and multi core of iPhones? I'd rather be able to get the next 5 major updates the day they come out than be part of OS where about 13% of total users are on the current OS.

My niece: "Dad, if you're thinking about getting me an iPhone X for Christmas, then don't. I would rather you saved the money so that I can go on holiday to Hungary next summer with my friends. My Brother: I wasn't thinking about buying you a new iPhone. But if you need to get away next summer, and can't pay for it yourself, then I can probably arrange for you to go camping with your grandparents.

Too modern, perhaps. Many people don't seem to be happy about it. Anyway, why buying something so costly, just stick to your old model. In a few years the "amazing" IPhoneX would become old - fashioned and everyone would be able to afford it. But then, it would be no longer "cool", am I right?

Too modern? They're putting in features that are 2-5 years old now and charging a premium. Like, say, wireless charging - HTC first introduced that 5 years ago. Not to say it's probably very nice hardware, but it's hardly innovative.

Hmmm.... Apple says 'Look, we invented facial recognition', and Android phones are like 'Facial recognition, you mean that thing we invented 10 years ago?' . Apple says 'Look, we removed the home button and made the screen bigger' android phones say 'Yeah, we had that before you even existed.' Apple says 'Hey we have a glass back now' android says 'No, you had that with the iphone 4, and it broke a lot, causing you to get more money.'

The new iPhone looks ridiculous, to be honest. When I read the pathos in every other article about it, I can't help but cringe. Being made out of glass and having ll kinds of identifying hardware, the only thing it's missing is being shaped like a penis and having an a**l probe feature. https://software.informer.com/Stories/iphone-x-no-boundaries-just-screen.html Honestly, this thing is ridiculously Orwellian. Fingerprint scanner, face ID... what next, saliva samples and DNA tests? Funny how everyone's so concerned about the cost of an item they'll use multiple times daily. Comes out to like $50/mo. Even crazier is androids top phones are almost same exact cost. Note 8 $960 plus tax plus 256gb microsd card, it's really that much cheaper? I can't understand why people will drop 4x for Classic Game emulator systems that they could put on their computers for free but balk at a price increase on a phone that is switching from an LCD screen to Samsung OLED. IPhone 7 Plus 256gb last year to iPhone 8 plus 256gb this year is same exact cost.
