It's also the perfect example how it's not about everyone being the same. The one with the uterus destroys her (yes, I know and no) body carrying the little sprouts. They are the next gen and you need them, whether you like it or not. So some respect for carrying out that task is not too much to ask.

The thing is that at 4 months it's not so obvious in many women! If someone asks you for the seat politely of course you give it! You don't request their health status!! This is the human thing to do!

Equality would be him also being sick and pregnant. This is just hating people that "aren't a man (stereotype)", to make excuses for their own shitty, selfish behavior. Being pregnant is the equivalent of running a marathon every day for 40 weeks; I doubt dude was doing that.

Terrible people are terrible people. Before I got a transplant, I had a condition known as "Ascites". Essentially, I was 40lb underweight, but my fluid filled belly looked 10 months pregnant. I am a guy, so carrying around a ginormous beer belly wasn't fun. I bet this jerk would have given me a seat or, better yet, he would have expected a younger and healthier person to give up their seat for him, if he had the same condition. But no. Why not make a pregnant woman pay for his insecurities instead?

As an older woman at 50 ..have been there done that! All of my 3 pregnancies ( last one twins) I could not keep anything down for the first 4 month..ended up in hospital with my first because of this non stop morning sickness!. All pregnancies I lived on oodles of noodles Gatorade and saltines for the first 4 months . I stared to eat pretty well 5 , 6 7th month.. 8 & 9th it all started up again non stop sickness.. especially with the twins! All the babies were long and running out of room and would kick my stomach making me sick.. I suffered from the same thing as Kate Duchess of Cambridge did in early pregnancy! Not fun at all! Lesson here is if a pregnant lady needs a seat give it to her!!!!!!

I have a chronic pain disorder - and as many disorders of the kind, it's invisible, though I can be in debilitating amounts of pain to the point of barely being able to move and nausea. I didn't choose to get this chronic pain the same way a woman will choose to get pregnant. If I'm having one of my bad pain days I'm not going to give up my seat unless I can visibly see distress or sickness of said pregnant woman or other person who is ill/in pain. Downvote me all you want but the point that pregnancy is usually a choice (at least where I live) and chronic pain is not stands. :/

Did the lady tell about pregnancy and sickness? Neither a 4 months pregnancy nor a sick feeling can be "seen". Yes, the guy was being somehow rude, but on the other handside: Maybe he just didn't know? That's why London metro offers a button saying "Baby on board" (https://tfl.gov.uk/transport-accessibility/baby-on-board), so there is more empathy spread :)

This is lacking context and/or content. Did you tell him you felt sick? Was he an elderly man? Did he even know you were pregnant and experiencing symptoms? I DO NOT SUPPORT mysogyny in any form, but I do support clear communications between human beings. Can't form an opinion without additional info, sorry. When I was 4 months pregnant with my first child, nobody would have been able to tell.

I'm a women. If I have a seat and an elderly man looks like he needs it - I stand up. If a young man has a cast on his leg, I stand up. If I see a dog looking like he might want to snuggle, I sure as hell make room close to me! It's not about her being a women. It's about a person having a medieval need to f*****g sit down. It's common consideration

There are times when you don't want someone to offer solutions to your problems. Sometimes you just need a hug.
Adam is on the same page. "When she had the idea to combine our love for inappropriate conversation, podcasts, and cocktails, it definitely piqued my interest," he recalled the origins of Marriage & Martinis.
"Plus I've seen how much people seem to relate to Danielle's blog and I think this will be an awesome extension of that, with the same 'real and authentic' voice saying, 'we're far from a perfect couple, but we're trying our best and we've never given up on one another.' It will be a new journey, and I think it will be really fun and interesting to see where it goes. Mostly though, I'm really looking forward to embarrassing the crap out of my wife."

I feel that one! Every year I did presents for my husband's family, until this year I finally realized why tho? It wasn't that he made me do it, I just kind of did together with other gifts and never ocured to me before, that it could be his problem. I ranted about it every year but never told him. Sometimes I am thick as hell.

Yeah... Having kids gives me some insight into the reasons why my mom always started vacuuming or doing noisy chores in the kitchen at 7 a.m at the weekend. Sweet revenge. I'm planning the same for my boys as soon as they grow into their teens 😅

I moved from a southern us state ( rice, dauted fresh veggies) to a northern state ( stewed meat and potatoes..my god the potatoes ). One day i was homesick and cooked some foods i wanted. Stepkids balked and (ex) hubby said " what did you expect?" . One of the most hurtful things that happened to me. Ex husband idea of making dinner was to call the pizza place for delivery

I once thought my kid lost my keyes, because I remembered her playing with them, and been bitching about it two days, when I found them in. My. Effing. Purse. Where I looked multiple times of course. But I've owned that and apologized to my kid for accusing her wrogly and since then every time I look for sth she yells from whichever part of the house: "did you check your purse?"

The old funny one in our house is - before I met your father I didn't realise I needed a degree to spread butter on toast nor that there where 27 steps in the process!!! I have refused to make toast for him since his college lecture 15vrs ago and the kids no better than to just no more than 'yes please' when I offer it for them and I secretly savour his regretful face every time I do lol also it paved the way for him never to comment to much on anything else I do in the house 😉

I think it’s pretty sexist. Maybe I’m just lucky to have a husband who really does do 50% of the work. But I also don’t treat him like an incompetent child, and I think that’s at least some of the problem in many of these relationships.
