I think that that was the point of this movie (Frozen) as opposed to the others: change the way people viewed Disney movies by trying to give them strong women a working logic.
The original tale was worse. The prince was simply going to take her corpse back to his castle with him--and the dwarves eventually were okay with this. If it weren't for that piece of apple lodged in her throat coming up on their journey when they hit a bump in the road, things would have gotten wrong really fast.

I never understood how he got that piece of apple out of her mouth... Didn't know one needed to insert one's tongue in the others mouth back in those days... learned that much later when I was 14 -15.. So tip for the little boy who wants to kiss a little girl : fish out the piece of apple from her mouth with your tongue, and you'll be doing it (almost) right.
Tecnically is not a corpse. She is alive. Most people forget what the stepmother says before leaving. Basically she thought Snow white will be buried alive.

It just occurred to me, Simba was raised by an interspecies same-sex couple and he turned out just fine.
He also dethroned an incompetent ruler who lived in incredible wealth in a castle which occupies half of the city while his soldiers brutalized the local homlesses.
