If you liked our posts on Twitter accounts like "Out Of Context Human Race" or "-1000 IQ", you should love this one as well.

It's called "Pictures Of The End" and according to the people behind the fun internet project, this parody account documents the end of the world, inviting everyone to witness the last era of humans and animals on Earth.

Sounds like a weird premise, I know, but the content isn't gruesome or anything. Rather, it's so nonsensical, you can't help but think that life on our planet has evolved to its final stage and everything is going downhill from now on.

How else would you explain a dude drinking hand sanitizer straight up? We're doomed.

While human extinction sounds like something straight out of a nightmare (or in this case, a joke), there are many ways in which it could happen.

Popular culture usually focuses on the most spectacular possibilities: like the hurtling asteroid in the film Armageddon or the alien invasion of Independence Day.

And while such a dramatic end is possible, focusing on such scenarios may distract us from the most serious threats we face today.

"Of course it was tragic," said the family's lawyer, "but Mrs Pomeroy always loved the beach. It was the way she would have wanted to go."

For example, both the World Health Organization and the World Economic Forum listed climate change and its effects as one of the top risks.

Recent UN talks already called climate change "a matter of life and death" for many regions and many, including Sir David Attenborough, believe it could lead to the collapse of civilizations and the extinction of "much of the natural world".

The possible threats are complex and diverse, from killer heatwaves and rising sea levels to widespread famines and migration on a truly immense scale.

I know this is supposed to be of meme value, but I actually see real art in this photo. This is visual poetry to me.

Also, let's not forget the potential risks from novel technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI).

Experts highlight scenarios that range from increasingly sophisticated cyber-weapons that could hold an entire nation's data to ransom to autonomous algorithms that could unwittingly cause a stock-market crash.

While many focus on rising tensions between global powers and talk about conflicts like nuclear war, new technologies may also be making us less safe.

But think of all the pictures these events would produce!

This is completely unrealistic! The cat wouldn't let their human have the pillow or blanket!

It actually says "Learn Mexican Spanish", not "Learn "Mexican". The font size was a very poor decision, but as someone who studied Spanish from instructors from Mexico and then went to Spain, I can vouch that this is actually a very important distinction. The vosostros alone will get you.

Spanish also varies between other South American countries as I’m sure you’re well aware. Some sounds like straight up Portuguese (lol).

Honestly, I don't think so. In school (i'm in new zealand) we learn to speak some , and it's increasinly becoming a popular attribute to have when getting employed in NZ. I think it is more widely spoken in New Zealand, and I don't reckon that many other countries speak it at all really. Hope this helps!

I guess us brown people are interchangeable. Also. It's Spanish. As for my language it's Te Reo Māori.

Nothing wrong with the Mexican Spanish distinction. There are some vastly different Spanish dialects.

Off to a particularly bad start; forgetting the macron in the word Māori. The macrons are very important for correct pronunciation by non speakers.

The language is called te reo Māori, and they forgot the macron in Māori. You’re going to need that for pronunciation.
