Actually... mice have a "terminal velocity", due to fluffiness and no weight - that precludes even injury, let alone death. (I've seen mice prove it- jumping out of trees!)

Uh, you're almost correct. Yes, mice can survive falls from great heights. But not always. It doesn't "preclude even injury, let alone death" when a mouse falls from a great height. It's the same for cats - cats CAN survive falling out of 7+-story buildings, but it's not guaranteed. Regarding mice - I read a post from someone who said a mouse leaped from their hands, fell around 15 feet (I'm guessing the person wasn't 15 feet tall, but that they were standing on a staircase in a building or something?) and it died. So, no, mice aren't "precluded" from injury or death from falling, but they have a very high chance of surviving - higher than a human would from a proportionally-tall height!
