Cats are probably one of the most shameless creatures of the animal kingdom. They come and go as they please with an attitude that says, I run things, leaving dead mice and birds in their wake. Well, some cat owners are fed up with their feline companion's devil-may-care behavior and want everyone to know just how bad their cats are, through public shaming online.
The Instagram account @cat_shaming has provided pet owners a platform to guide their silly cats through a walk of shame, where photos are posted capturing their furry friends in or after their criminal acts. From funny cats rolling around in fresh paint to peeing in their owners' handbags, it's clear that these animals don't give a damn and will probably continue to live a life of crime. All the cat owners I know make sure to never have open flame in their houses. Those dinky electronic candles that can look so real they even flicker? Those were invented for cat owners.

Cats and bathrooms are one hell of a combination. Mine once pushed the paper off the counter and it fell on the toilet. We're thankful she didn't flush.

Mine does this ALL the time! (It's NOT an accident) We actually have a notice for guests in our bathroom warning them that she WILL do this if given the chance!

OMG! This one has me laughing so hard because I had a cat who set her own tail on fire once just like this guy did! I was chasing her all over the house trying to put out the small fire and she kept running away from me! Luckily, the flame went out on its one before causing and damage to cat or home. Just some singed hair! No more candles in my home after that fun little episode!

My cat walked across a coffee table with a candle and snacks on it, just as guests buzzed to come in. Grabbed cat, some fur on fire but wiped it out before it hit skin. The stink!!! EEEK

@Ruth Beaty Many cat owners have the litter box on the bathroom because if the cat poops or pees accidentaly on the floor it is easier to clean there. Some cats are also jerks and may occasionally spread the contents of the litter box everywhere so then it is a good idea to have the litter box in a room which is easy to clean. Then it is just impossible to keep the bathroom door shut because the cats need to use the litter box.

In 5th grade, before typing a report and printing it at home was very common, my friend's cat peed on his 30 page, handwritten report the morning it was due. With few options, he tried dousing it with his dad's cologne. It was not a pleasant ride on the bus to school that day. I don't think the teacher allowed it in the classroom.

This good news photo needs to be higher! Imagine the owners relief after 4 MONTHS! I lost a cat 5 years ago and as he's microchipped I haven't given up on finding him, even updating the address after moving twice. This post gives me hope

I had a cat that did this exact same thing when I was a kid. She really loved to get stuck in the closet under the stairs, under the very bottom stair where I had to use a broom to get her out. Oh and she was blind too, so when we got her out she would go right back into that spot and yeowl.

A lot of these is just behavior there getting rewarded for. Cat's are smart, why would they stop doing something if you pick them up and pet them. No, they won't stop doing it immediately but if you don't give in they will eventually stop. Worked with my cat's. Just needs some dedication.

I feel lucky. My cat will push some things on the floor if she's bored and wants my attention (I've been ignoring her and she's been slowly doing it less). Otherwise she's pretty shy with other people, but pretty sweet with me and doesn't have any other really bad habits.

And do you ever notice that titles to stories about naughty cats always have the word “a$$hole” in them? Stories on here about naughty dogs never do. In fact, I think the dog stories are never about naughty dogs. I think BP favors dogs over cats.
