a lot of animals see spirits and souls... once my girlfriend's dog was looking in the corner for a while and when he barked towards the corner, the next second a plate falled down in the kitchen, just as if the "spirit" got scared and ran there... you should have seen the dog's face, and ours of course :))

I snip off the very tips of my cats claws. We have a scratching post also but she has a tendency to try hitting the dog in the eye and I REALLY don't want a blind puppy. But again I just snip off the super sharp tips of them NEVER like cut them short.

Or the other person gets all mad because you are comparing an "animal" to a human...well that animal is my child and gets treated as such and honestly I feel like all pet owners should treat their pets as a family member. The o lot exception there is a working animal BUT even those get treated incredibly well.
